5 star + Attentive staff, delicious food, art deco opulence and a sea tractor adventure! Would totally recommend. All staff were helpful especially the Receptionist, Manager, Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Staff and the Transport Manager who made the day extra special.

From the moment you arrive to drop your car at the secure parking the level of care and service starts. The staff are all amazingly trained. Little things like “ can you remind me of your room?” makes you feels like they already know you. Good is amazing, particularly the breakfasts. Only a small hotel but one of the best. Can only give positive feedback. Well done to all of the team at the hotel.

Flawless from checking in to dining out… we loved every moment of our stay here and took home memories to last a lifetime. We felt spoiled and special, sipping champagne and listening to jazz music. Strolling round the cliffs at sunset. Listening to the sea in the morning. I’ve never stayed in such a uniquely magical place.

Thé location and decor of this hotel were amazing - lovely art deco charm. Service was super. The food was fab. It was great to wander about the island then come back to the garden for a G&T. Dinner was wonderful. Our room had a lovely balcony with great views too.

I normally give quite high ratings. Not because I am easily pleased but more because I travel a lot, and I see the price-value comparison over the whole world. Burgh falls into the category of seriously overpriced. The service was good, the room (Artist Room) needs a makeover (rusty radiator, chipped paintwork, toilet ran forever to fill up and be careful about the bath!). No where to put anything around the bath area etc. Anyway, the food was literally so so. The service superb, the quaintness of it all very nice but the cost is crazy. Then they add 5% as you check out for ‘service’. Just weird when a room is over £700. Such an unwelcoming policy. It feels to me that they are trying to ‘cream it’ to generate revenue maybe to sell the place..? I always say that checking out is as important as checking in. Not for us again.

Incredibly luxurious hotel, wonderfully attentive staff, gorgeous rooms and great atmosphere - the walk around the island only takes about an hour and is well worth the uphill climb to see the views! All of the food, cocktails and wine were amazing! This was an expensive weekend away but very much worth it,

We choose Burgh island hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we could not have been any happier. As soon as you park the car across the causeway, we were met by Nick who explained how we get the island, Nick gave us lots of information about the hotel and the island as we travelled across. I won’t tell you everything as it’s something you need to experience yourself, we had the Jessie Matthews room with superb views. Simon who welcomed us at the hotel made us feel very special. All I can say to wow wow wow.

We were made to feel most welcome, the hotel is not "pretentious" as you may suspect. All of the staff were very well trained and excellent. The hotel reception area and lounge, restaurants are beautiful. We would have loved to see the bedrooms but were only there for the champagne afternoon tea which was perfect. A birthday treat to remember.

Had the most fantastic time, all the staff are friendly, actually feels like one big family and your welcomed into it.
