Ich war in der Vergangenheit schon in anderen Unterkünften in Berwick upon Tweed, aber das Crowie Guesthouse ist mit Abstand das Beste. Bei der Begrüßung spürte man schon die Herzlichkeit von Ruth und Ian. Mein Zimmer war sehr gemütlich, warm und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das große Bett war perfekt und ich schlief in absoluter Ruhe. Das angrenzende Badezimmer war groß und geschmackvoll sowie absolut sauber. Auch das Zimmer, der Frühstücksraum sowie das Treppenhaus waren absolut sauber. Dass sich Ruth und Ian einen Traum mit ihrem Guesthouse erfüllt haben, spürt man in jedem Detail. Besonders bei der liebevollen Zubereitung des abwechslungsreichen Frühstücks. Ich spürte ihre Freude und ihren Einsatz für die Gäste und dafür geben ich ihnen von Herzen 5 Sterne (am Liebsten noch mehr) - Katrin aus Norddeutschland

This is a very comfortable and welcoming guest house. Berwick is in a good location for visiting Northumberland and the Scottish Borders and the guest house is conveniently located near the centre and not far from the railway station. It’s a short walk into town for shops and restaurants and there are fine walks along the river which are easy to access. Berwick is just a few miles north of Holy Island which we visited and we also visited Jedburgh. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. Despite being on the main road there was little traffic noise during the two nights we stayed. Breakfast was excellent and had a good choice to eat. Outside the room on the landing is a communal fridge where fresh milk is available. I’d recommend this B&B. We were able to park free in the street outside the B & B. On the morning of our departure we were chatting to a lady from Sheffield who was attempting the England coastal path and couldn’t work out how to easily get to the start north of Berwick at the border. We offered to drop her off at the parking area on the A1 as we were heading into Scotland. I hope she was able to get to the coast and had a successful walk to Holy Island.

Comfortable, cosy, clean, and quiet except for the traffic noise (it's on a busy street). The B&B doesn't have any parking, so be prepared to park your car a few hundred yards away. We had a n enjoyable stay, though the cooked breakfast was one of the smallest we had ever had! Despite having normal appetites, we had to ask for more toast, more coffee and more butter. This was willingly provided but given the premium pricing, we thought a more ample breakfast could have been provided. (And for info, the 'drinks tray' promised on arrival is just DIY tea &coffee - with one biscuit each!)

The room and the whole house was spotlessly clean. The hosts were amazing and very accommodating. We loved the breakfast, the choice and the breakfast room. Thank you for a lovely stay and your helpfulness.

Maybe my favorite place on the coastal path. The rooms were so spacious and comfortable. The hosts helpful with tips on places to eat and see. Breakfast was delicious. I can't say enough about how nice this place was.

Cowrie Guest House is ideally situated for exploring historic Berwick upon Tweed as well as using the train and bus services to travel further afield. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. Ruth and Ian provided a very friendly and informative welcome as well as delicious breakfasts. Definitely a place to stay again. We had a wonderful long weekend here last month. Ian and Ruth were most helpful and welcoming and had time to answer our questions and give advice about local attractions. We stayed in room 2. It was beautiful and had every possible thing we needed for our stay. Parking was close by if not right outside and the breakfast was tasty and cooked fresh to your choice every day. Fresh milk was available in a little fridge on the landing and extras for your hospitality tray were left for you each day. We had a lovely stay and would love to return soon. Thank you x

Great place to stay! Delicious breakfast. The hosts were extremely helpful with questions and very kind. I would stay here again! Also the location is close to the train station.

We booked our room for two nights from California a few months before arriving and emailed a question about the location and route from the train station as we were arriving from Edinburgh . We received a lovely response within 24 hours . When we arrived early , Ian and Ruth couldn’t have been nicer. They allowed us to leave our luggage as our room wasn’t quite ready. The B&B is truly just 5 minute walk from the train station. Excellent location just a few minutes walk to the center of town. Berwick is walled city and we walked the entire length of the wall on a beautiful day , the views were spectacular . We also visited the Alnwick Castle the following day . Lots of dining choices but it’s almost a must to make reservations for dinner . Our room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious . One morning the breakfast special was avocado toast with ham and egg . The breakfast room was very nice and clean . We enjoyed our stay .
