From the moment you drive into the manicured grounds, stress melts. The owner is a delight. The rooms are modern and immaculate with many unexpected extra touches. We appreciated the central location and stayed a second night on our return from the south. Even the guests were more friendly than any other place we have stayed, a tribute to the quality of the place and ownership. Exceeded all expectations!

On arrival I was greeted in a warm & friendly manner. Personally taken to my room. The room was on the second floor overlooking the motels lawn & garden. Everything was comfortable & clean. When I asked the host gave me a couple of recommendations for an evening meal. Continental breakfast is available on request. I have no interest in wandering down the road in search of breakfast. Cromwells town centre was only a few minutes'walk away. Recommend the Colonial partciularly by the way I was treated by the hosts.

An absolutely fantastic choice for your stay in Cromwell. We chose the upstairs studio, which is very nice and roomy, with an excellent bathroom, a very comfortable bed and beautiful views. The owner Cheryl is a delightful and extremely helpful host. Next time we are in Cromwell, we will definitely stay here again.

We have just stayed with the wonderful hostess Sheryl at Colonial Manor Motel in Cromwell. The location is superb being close to the bike hire we acquired and the township. Quiet and restful. The outdoor setting is great to relax and unwind in with a glass of the local wine!! Sheryl is the perfect host...warm, welcoming and helpful on every level!!

My Bike Group went to Cromwell to ride the Lake Dunstan Trail. Colonial Manor Motel was great, and they have a Container for our Bikes to be locked up safe and sound overnight. Hosts just lovely, nice rooms, lovely and clean. very central to shops and Pub.

We based ourselves at the Colonial Manor for three nights so we could look around Wanaka, Queenstown, and Arrowtown. It was the best accommodation we booked over our ten-day holiday. Andy, who met us at reception, and Cheryl, are so friendly and welcoming. Our suite was warm and comfortable to come back to after day trips to see the sights and had everything we needed, and the bed was super comfortable. The Colonial Manor Motel is close to all the amenities you need: supermarkets, restaurants, a shopping mall and a swimming pool. We will definitely stay again and for longer. Highly recommend.

3 nights for work at a very central location, walked to supermarket and local restaurants. The bed was extremely comfortable and the unit warm. The unit has a modest update and was quiet. Cheryl was a fantastic (genuine and friendly) host and gave us great advice on restaurant options. We will stay again and recommend.
