非常友好的主人和令人驚嘆的景色，強烈推薦！

Ce lodge est absolument parfait. Les chambres sont grandes, bien équipées et la vue est magnifique. La salle de bain est superbe, avec, pour la nôtre, un bain à remous. Il y a un grand séjour avec une profusion de canapés moelleux ainsi qu'une terrasse qui invitent à la détente. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le coin café avec le cake aux fruits, fait maison, absolument délicieux. Un grand merci à Mel et Mark pour leur accueil chaleureux et leurs conseils judicieux. Notre seul regret est de n'y avoir passé que 2 nuits.

Die Matuka Lodge ist zweifelsohne ein kleines Paradies auf Erden und ich habe meinen 3-tägigen Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmacklich eingerichtet und bieten einen fantastischen Ausblick und das Frühstück ist einfach köstlich. Was diese Unterkunft besonders macht ist die großartige Gastfreundschaft von Mel und Mark, und die warmherzige Atmosphäre im Haus. Die Lounge lädt zum gemütlichen verweilen ein und man kommt ganz zwanglos mit den Gastgebern und den anderen Gästen (max 8) zusammen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Ein perfekter Ort zum entspannen. Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht dort. Wäre gerne mindestens noch eine weitere Nacht geblieben. Mel ist super lieb, man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause.

Matuka Lodge is located in Twizel New Zealand about a 30 minute drive from Mt. Cook and the Tazman Glacier/Lake. Its hosts Mel and Mark make you feel as if they’re family and are most accommodating in your needs both in the room and at breakfast. To top it off, you’re in a wonderful setting right on a pond with ducks diving under the water for their food and Mel gaving us some pellets to feed the trout that are in the pond. A most relaxing day after tramping up to the glacier and touching the ice on the lake and being up close and personal with the glacier.

We arrived at Matuka Lodge straight after a big snow and it was magical. The snow topped mountains viewed from the huge picture windows in the living room were breathtaking. We were lucky enough to have the whole lodge to ourselves and our gorgeous hosts, Mel and Mark, having made us very welcome and comfortable retreated to their home next door and left us to enjoy the peace and luxury of the living area. Mel had baked great cookies and cake, the fridge was stacked with drinks and even a cocktail bar ( drinks are available on a honour system) was in place! Breakfast in the morning was amazing-cooked to order by Mel and delicious. All up a fabulous place to stay on the Christchurch/Queenstown trail. Very close to Lake Tekapo and Mt Cook. Thanks Mel and Mark-I’m sure we’ll be back with the family!

We had a fabulous 3 days here. It was peaceful, welcoming and relaxing. Jo and Pete went out of their way to make our stay reviving, which was just what we needed. The food was delicious at the breakfast and they catered to my dietary needs without a fuss. They had great recommendations for things to do where to eat and Pete drove to our special dinner. The outlook is both beautiful and tranquil, those ducks trying to get about on the frosty pond made me smile. If you are thinking about going just book you won’t be disappointed
