Good stay. The room was very clean. Needs to have an extra blanket and pillow in the room, I think, but that's just being picky. I would definitely stay again.

Nous avions réservé un appartement 2 chambres. A notre arrivée, nous avons eu 2 chambres séparées pour nous 4. Il n'y avait pas de cuisine. Nous avons diner dehors. Chambres 129 et 130 très bien équipées pour le petit déjeuner, modernes, propres et spacieuses. Bord de mer accessible à pied. Promenade agréable. Tarif attractif avec *******. Piscine tres chaude.

Stayed in one of the renovated rooms. Light, clean rooms with wooden flooring and good lighting. Garden looking fantastic and a decent breakfast. Great location and nice walk along the Esplanade in the morning . The gym is excellent and one of the best in a resort like this .

Hubby and I first stayed here in 2008 when we were moving away from Townsville. Back then the pool was amazing and great restaurant, so naturally we wanted to stay here again for our family holiday (addition of 2yo).... Pros - location and unit layout ideal, housekeeping ladies were lovely. Cons - the pool was cloudy green, looked more like a dirty pond and not swimmable - attention to detail wrt cleaning was lacking, under the bed not vacuumed, sticky prints on light switches, old coffee splatter (I'm guessing) on kitchen wall. - massive wet patch on carpet in front of sliding door that made the unit smell bad, I thought it was from a spilled bucket of mopping water it was that wet, but coming from the aircon which would pour water when turned off. - maintenance needed everywhere - really needs new coat of paint, fix hole in wall behind bedroom door that fits the whole door handle, furnishings very worn out and mismatched (not in a chic way), fan in bathroom not working, mould on bathroom roof, light fixtures with no bulbs, showerhead needs descaling or replacement. - a lot of guests smoking, drinking and wandering the carpark, some questionable antics from the unit next to us and even coming over to ask us if we had spare cigarettes (non-smokers), made us a bit uncomfortable. I didn't take concerns to management as we were staying a short while, and rebooking elsewhere seemed like a headache not needed. Really sad this place didn't live up to our expectations from back in the day. We won't stay here again.

Do not ever stay here. we stayed 2 nights, the first night the interior fans couldn`t be used, the blades were so loose we were worried they would fall off onto us as we slept. The second night was worse, we couldn`t sleep due to the massive amount of noise, yelling, screeching, yipping from drunken indigenous people that were partying around the accomodation blocks. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE, it is a dump.

Nice enough room but the rest was a disaster! Seagulls own website says reception closes at 8pm weekdays yet we arrived just after 5pm on a Friday and reception was closed. Called the number on the sign and was given the code for the safe. The guy on the phone asked if I had received an sms - which I hadn’t. No apologies. In fact he seemed totally disinterested. Found our room which was much the same as it was 17-18 years ago when we last stayed here, except for some cosmetic updates. The buildings, grounds and pool are pretty run down and need updating. The rooms past ours were all open and in various stages of being pulled apart for upgrade. It definitely bothered us that things were left open with broken things laying around for anyone to injure themselves. Tables piled up outside our door. Worst thing was the restaurant. I had called the reception a couple of days prior to arrival and asked them if we should book. They took our name and said they would put us in. We arrived to dine and it was a total disaster. The poor waitresses looked totally out of their depth. The kitchen had smoke pouring out of it and then the restaurant “manager’ came rushing over to tell us that they could not possibly seat us because they were totally slammed (less than 20 people in the place). I explained we had a booking and without even asking for a name she proceeded to complain that reception doesn’t tell her anything, certainly not about the 2 groups of 7, and that she was short a waitress who decided she didn’t want to work. All up it was disgraceful. She grudgingly offered to push 2 tables together - we were only 3 people - and then said it would be quite a while before we got a meal. Needless to say we left as we were pretty sure the meal would be awful, and went into town to Cactus Jacks where we were greeted warmly and seated quickly although they were so busy, our meals and drinks came quickly and were fabulous. I would never bother with Seagulls again. So very disappointing.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a fine room, spacious, clean. We stayed there for just 1 night. For breakfast (not included) there was ample choice of good quality. Ample parking space. We were advised to contact the hotel in case we would arrive after opening hours of the reception. So we gave them a call and perfect arrangements were made as to where we could find the key to our room on arrival.

The property is very rundown and should be closed for safety reasons. There were no staff at the resort at all. Restaurant and bar closed or simply no one working to even order food. No one answers the after hours phone number even during reception times. Worst experience by far.

The beds were so comfortable and so are the pillows! The staff are so friendly and the food lovely with realistic not overinflated price. I'll definately stay again!
