"Marriott lifetime platinum here, so lots of Fairfield Inn stays over the years. This one is definitely a winner. Friendly staff, clean property, comfortable rooms. Closer to 5 stars than the 3.9 it gets on TripAdvisor. A couple of minor glitches: streaming doesn’t seem to work, and pretty much out of things at breakfast with about 15 minutes to go. Great guys running the breakfast, but I think they underestimated how much a group of younger adults would eat. Pass through Beckley 2-3 times per year. Would absolutely stay here again."

"The hotel is cleaner, newer, with a very friendly staff. Breakfast is 4.5 out of 5 with a good selection and with a clean and bright environment. I have two concerns: we were in a standard King room and the reservation was made for two people. When we arrived in the room there was only one bath towel and three hand towels and one washcloth kind of scattered all over the shelf. It’s my opinion the housekeeper just forgot to check the towels out. When I went to the front desk I was provided with plenty of towels. The second issue is that for a newer hotel the mattress and sheets seemed worn out. The bottom sheet, although it was a fitted sheet, had worn elastic and didn’t want to stay tightly on the mattress. I expected less worn bedding and bed. I do recommend this hotel and we will likely stay here again but I hope they update the mattress and bedding."

"When I checked in even though we had reserved the room through Trip.Com, I was told their were no rooms. This was the fault of Trip. Com because their website said they had rooms at the hotel even though the hotel had no more rooms to book. I have never had this happened when booking with other online booking sites. And I have stayed in this area several times in past years. Not good when you get to the hotel and are told you don't have a room, because they were over booked due to online booking sites. "
