勃艮第紅酒之鄉——博訥飯店

We stayed in the “Nordic suite“ which was new and felt a little bit unfinished. It has a lot of nice amenities, but it is missing a few things like shades in the salon and art on the walls. Service is efficient but no frills. For $700 a night it would’ve been nice to have some sort of welcoming amenity in the room even if it was just a bottle of sparkling water. The mini bar held two bottles of Evian and two bottles of sparkling water each costing eight euros apiece. Luckily, we arrived early enough in the day so that we could make a stop at a local convenience store to get bottled water for less than one euro each. The bedding is all synthetic no down or feather pillows or duvets which I expect at this price point. Our biggest complaint was the room is located above the American bar and it is very noisy. Something to be aware of if you book a suite at this hotel because they are all over the back parking lot and face the American bar. Very loud until closing time with drunken people and laughing. I don’t know if the regular rooms are noisy but this room sure is. In leaving, we asked to be taken to the train station which is literally a 5 minute drive at the most. We were offered the house driver to take us on the short drive. I was surprised to see we were billed 30 euros for this service. Uber and taxis are scarce in Beaune so we did not have an option other than walking the 12 minute stretch with suitcases or pay 30 euros. That felt stingy. Overall we did not feel very welcome or that this hotel was a good value. I would look elsewhere in Beaune for accommodations next time.
