Le Clos Saint-Gilles

Vielen Dank an unsere Gastgeber für den freundlichen Empfang, die Weiterempfehlungen für wirklich sehr gute Restaurants in der Umgebung, die persönlichen und humorvollen Gespräche – wir müssen heute noch schmunzeln. Wir sind mit unserem Aufenthalt mit Blick vom Zimmer auf den Mont-Saint-Michel und den liebenswerten Gastgebern mehr als zufrieden. Dieses Idyll, ruhig gelegen, lud mit seinem wunderschönen Garten (Park ähnlich mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail) zum Verweilen ein. In der hochwertig eingerichteten Gemeinschaftsküche konnten wir Speisen zubereiten und Getränke kühl lagern. Dabei ergaben sich auch nette Gespräche mit anderen Reisenden. Wer zum Frühstück gerne Produkte aus dem eigenen Garten genießen möchte und eine persönliche Atmosphäre im Urlaub sucht, ist hier Bestens aufgehoben. Wir können die Unterkunft daher nur uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen – auch für Paare, die vielleicht ihre Hochzeit planen. ********************************************************** Un grand merci à nos hôtes pour leur accueil chaleureux, leurs recommandations pour de très bons restaurants dans les environs, et les conversations personnelles et pleines d'humour – nous avons encore le sourire aujourd'hui. Nous sommes plus que satisfaits de notre séjour avec vue depuis la chambre sur le Mont-Saint-Michel et grâce à des hôtes adorables. Cet endroit idyllique, situé au calme, invitait à la détente avec son magnifique jardin (à la manière d’un parc, avec beaucoup d’attention aux détails). Dans la cuisine commune, aménagée avec soin, nous avons pu préparer des repas et garder nos boissons au frais. Cela a également permis des rencontres et de belles discussions avec d’autres voyageurs. Pour ceux qui aiment savourer des produits du jardin au petit-déjeuner et recherchent une ambiance personnelle pendant leurs vacances, c’est l’endroit idéal. Nous ne pouvons donc que recommander chaleureusement cet hébergement – même pour les couples qui envisagent leur mariage. ************************************************** Many thanks to our hosts for the warm welcome, the recommendations for really great restaurants in the area, and the personal and humorous conversations – we are still chuckling today. We are more than satisfied with our stay, with the view of Mont-Saint-Michel from our room and the lovely hosts. This peaceful little haven, quietly located, invited us to linger with its beautiful garden (park-like, with a lot of attention to detail). In the well-equipped communal kitchen, we could prepare meals and keep drinks cool, which also led to nice conversations with other travelers. If you like to enjoy breakfast with products from the garden and are looking for a personal atmosphere on vacation, this is the perfect place. We can therefore wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation – even for couples who might be planning their wedding.

Amazing! Truly amazing! This place is like a vacation within a vacation. It is very serene, and lovely. If I was writing a book, it is the type of place you'd go to escape. The family really makes an effort to make it comfortable. The key thing here is the property. It's in a rural France farm estate, that is about as old as America itself. The garden is so pleasant to sit in. Every morning I looked forward to have coffee, smoke in the garden, and enjoy the sounds of nature, the fresh scented air, and the views. I also looked forward to observing the rooster, and hens. The rooster is a character! The farm has an abundance of fresh berries, honey, and cherries. In the breakfast they serve you get treated to the fresh product. They don't seem to mind if you pluck a cherry from the tree either. The breakfast is always very fresh, and the house made jellies and honey are phenomenal. I didn't even mention, the view of Mont St Michel! That is stunning in itself. Our room had a front row seat to viewing of the magnificent structure! The kitchen is open, and you can grab a bottle of wine or soft drinks on the honor system. Very cool benefit! The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious. The bathroom was also large, especially by Euro standards. The couple that runs the place is very fun, engaging, interesting, and accommodating. As an American, normally French people are less than kind. This family is probably the nicest family available in the entire country! If I lived closer I'd probably spend a few long weekends a year at this place. If you go to Mont St Michel, you'd really make a big mistake to stay at one of the hotels, when this gem is available. I am sure I will be back, not for Mont St Michel, but to experience this vacation within a vacation once again. PS, they have a Yurt! Yes a Yurt you can stay in!!!

We had a wonderful stay last fall. The property was incredibly clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The rural location was perfect - quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by a lovely yard and garden. A beautiful property with wonderful hospitality!

Amazing stay. The cleanest room I’ve ever seen. The owner is super friendly and breakfast was delicious, with local products. Nova the dog is suuuuper cute. Our room had views to mont st michel which made our stay incredible. It is super close to mont st michel. I recommend going to see the meanders at sunset ag around 10pm when they let out the sheep and it’s magical

We had the most amazing time during our visit. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view was absolutely beautiful. Our host told us about the walk to Mont Saint-Michel through the sheep fields, and we decided to spend a day exploring the route. It was such a fun and memorable experience walking through the fields and taking in the scenery. The breakfast was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the homemade jellies, honey, yogurt, fresh eggs, and the delicious apple and chocolate cakes. Everything was fresh, homemade, and thoughtfully prepared. We truly could not have asked for a better stay. Thank you for your hospitality and for making our visit so special. We hope to return someday!

Super séjour, le cadre est magique. On se sent très bien dans le gîte, tout confort propriétaires au top, une évasion que je recommande !

Absolut tolle Unterkunft! Ideal um den Mont Saint Michel zu besuchen. Wer gut zu Fuß ist, kann über einen Pfad zur Abtei laufen. Die Unterkunft an sich ist ein altes Gebäude, welches von den Eigentümern liebevoll renoviert wurde. Der große Tisch beim Frühstück lädt ein sich mit den anderen Gästen zu unterhalten und kennen zu lernen. Wir fanden es großartig mit Niederländern, Australier, Belgier und Engländer an einem Tisch zu sitzen.

Siamo stati in questa struttura di passaggio per visitare Mont Saint Michel e abbiamo trovato delle persone stupende: marito e moglie sono gentili, disponibili e simpatici. Abbiamo fatto colazione con i prodotti del loro giardino, marmellate fatte in casa, frutta fresca, tisane e succo di mela. Arrivati la sera ci hanno prenotato il ristorante consigliandoci in base al nostro gusto e, per raggiungere Mont Saint Michel, ci hanno dato qualche dritta da “local” per non immischiarci nella confusione del grande afflusso di turisti presenti in questa stagione. Pulito, arredato cn gusto, bagno grande e un bellissimo giardino. Consigliatissimo, ritorneremmo volentieri!

Magnifique gîte, qui allie charme de la pierre et modernité, avec une vue sur le mont saint Michel. Thibault et Tatiana nous ont très bien accueilli. Un endroit paisible, avec des extérieurs entretenus qui rendent le cadre très agréable. Je recommande !!
