Top qualité pour ce motel aux chambres donnant sur le lac, une literie extrêmement confortable, chambre spacieuse et bien équipée (fauteuils, micro-ondes, réfrigérateur, cafetière...). Je garde un excellent souvenir de la nuit passée au Seagull, et je peux affirmer qu'il en va de même pour les amis américains avec qui j'y suis allée.

My king room #2 had a great view of the lake from the picture window and from the deck with its table and chairs. It was newly remodeled and has a nice, soothing lake vibe. The bed was very comfortable and big. The room is simple and very clean. I like the fact that the motel is family owned. The office was always open, but not always staffed. The morning I left there was a very friendly gentleman behind the desk. I inquired about a later checkout than 10:00, which is a bit early. He said it would be fine to extend to 11:00 but then I saw that they charge for later checkout, so I skipped it. The lobby also has a nice coffee maker with cappuccinos, etc. and most guests (like me) seem to use that rather than coffee maker in the room. The motel is close to the historic district of Bayfield. Be sure to check out Hoops Fish Market right across the street and by the lakeshore. Good location, clean rooms and small town feel, so I would recommend.

We had such a wonderful stay. The area was quiet and had a great view of the lake. There was easy access to the bike/walking trail to quickly get into town. The room was SO comfortable and clean. Minimalist and cozy.

We stayed the week for my wife's business trip to the Bayfield area. There is a lot of positive things about this place. Our unit had frontage on the main road coming into town, but it was still quiet. It is an older facility, but has been kept up or has been restored as a labor of love. It was a very clean room. The bed was quite comfortable, and the two chairs by the window were also surprisingly comfortable (I had my doubts when I first saw them.) Being up on the road at the crest of the bluff, there was a very nice view over the lake toward the island, and the unit had a decent-sized deck that would have been very nice for sitting outside if it was just a little later in the spring. One very striking feature of the unit was the retro appliances -- a small refrigerator and a microwave. The decor was simple, and I really liked the blinds. They operated very well and kept the sun out when closed. The people who own/run it were very nice and helpful. The downsides were there was no dresser or closet, no desk (just a small table), and just the bathroom sink. It was a fairly small unit and didn't have room for anything else in it. Since I was on vacation and my wife was working, I had the room to myself during the day, and it would have been nice to have a bit more room to set up my computer and work with an auxilliary kepboard, but I made do well enough. If it was warmer weather I would have been either outside more, sitting on the deck, taking a boat tour, or taking the ferry to the island, so the size would have been less of an issue. It was an easy walk to downtown from there, which was pretty nice. Having said all that, I would definitely stay again, especially when it is warmer, if her usual accommodations were unavailable again.

This hotel is basic. The rooms have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. They don't provide conditioner or lotion, so make sure to bring them. The views are spectacular!!! Easy parking and you can walk everywhere. You can hear other people opening their doors are talking outside, but they provide a noise making machine and we slept quite well and noticed nothing.

Loved this area and the view from your deck overlooking Lake Superior! The room was exactly what we saw in the pictures with a kitchenette, stove and refrigerator, and coffeemaker. No restaurant but some a mile away. Quiet rooms and easy walking trail to the pier.

Wonderful warm haven after driving in the snow storm! Owner was so kind to update us and help with easy check in access to our beautifully remodeled room--Clean and reasonably priced. Close to shops and restaurants and WOW what a gorgeous view of the lake, thanks to lower level location! Can't wait to go in the summer!

The staff at Seagull Bay were very helpful as I had to change the dates of my trip several times. Upon arrival, the room was ready for me, very clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. It's a beautiful setting on Lake Superior with lots of beautiful trees and a walking path. The customer service was excellent and felt personalized. I'll be back when I'm in the area, for sure.

The view of the lake from our was beautiful. The room and bed were comfortable and met our needs. The area was very quiet.
