Great homestay if you want to experience the life of local Khmer people. Located near the bat cave and surrounded with rice fields, perfect way to disconnect from busy city life and indulge in local culture. The dinner and breakfast are delicious. Saro speaks English very well, he can introduce you to local culture and touristic spots. Don’t expect a five star hotel but rather an assembly of humble huts. Saro and his family provide everything needed to make sure we spend a comfortable stay. Beautiful sunset and sunrise over the rice fields.

Sono stati due giorni bellissimi, consigliamo a tutti di alloggiare a casa di Esaro e della sua splendida famiglia! I bungalow sono accoglienti, puliti, spaziosi, immersi nella natura. Sua moglie ci ha preparato colazioni e cene semplici ma squisite, tipiche della cucina khmer! Esaro è super disponibile, ha organizzato il tour per il giorno seguente e ci ha accompagnati alla bat-cave e alla montagna circostante. Abbiamo anche potuto partecipare al festival del quartiere per il nuovo anno, proprio come fossimo stati di famiglia. Rimarrà uno dei ricordi più belli della vacanza, grazie Esaro!

Accueil extraordinaire d’une famille attachante avec plusieurs générations . Bungalows très propres comme les sanitaires Excellente nourriture fraîche cuisinée traditionnellement . Saro nous emmener à des lieux extraordinaires et est de très bons conseils et est très utile pour les déplacements C’est mon lieu préféré du Cambodge sores 6 nuits passées et j’y retournerai !

Well ... where to start?! First of all, its not a 5* hotel and my review is based around staying at an authentic Khmer homestay (in a rural area). ... To sum it up, I loved every minute of it. The room was clean and spacious with amazing views, the shared bathroom and shower was also very clean and well-maintained. Saro and his family were perfect hosts and couldn't have been more welcoming. I genuinely felt like part of the family. The food was fantastic, his wife is an excellent cook and the traditional Khmer food was the best ive ever had (this is my third time in Cambodia). The location was great, only being a short walk away from the killing caves and bat caves. Saro also has bicycles that you can use (free of charge) to explore a bit further afield. I didnt go much further than 13km (about a hours ride each way) but theres plenty to see and do in that radius. If cycling isnt your thing, or you have less time then he can also arrange tuk tuk tours covering most attractions in a day or two (I didnt take a tour so im not sure of the details). Saro is also very knowledgeable about the local area and was happy to answer all my questions. I honestly cant praise this family enough. Probably the best and most authentic homestay ive ever stayed in. Thank you Saro and the family, keep up the good work and I hope to see you again in the future :)

nous avons passé un séjour fantastique chez Saro ! la campagne est magnifique, la maison très bien placée et les repas excellents ! vous vous sentirez comme chez des amis ! Saro a tout fait pour que nous nous sentions bien (bateau pour siem reap, assiette de fruits, journée de visite, randonnée pour le coucher du soleil). Son anglais est très bon et les discussions avec lui sur le Cambodge sont passionnantes. Nous espérons revenir un jour ! merci Saro !

Wir waren 2 Nächte dort. Es war wirklich sehr schön bei Saro und seiner Familie. Er hat uns in Battambang vom Bus abgeholt und zu seinem Haus gebracht. Kein Luxus oder sonstiges. So wie das Leben in Kambodscha so ist. Unser Bungalow/Zimmer war sauber und schön. Wir hatten eine kleine Terrasse und Hängematte. An beiden Abenden wurde wir wunderbar bekocht mit Kambodschanischen Gerichten. Wirklich sehr lecker! Saro erzählte uns einiges über das Alltagsleben. Wir wollten am ersten Abend direkt zur Batcave und sind auch losgegangen ohne das Saro das mitbekommen hatte. Fußweg etwa 15min. Wir haben uns dort ein Platz auf Platikstühlen gesucht und hätten noch ca. 1 std. dort warten müssen bevor es losgeht. Plötzlich fuhr Saro auf seinem TukTuk an uns vorbei weil er uns gesucht hat. Er hat uns das gesagt das es einen viel besseren Platz zum schauen gibt und gleichzeitig auch noch der Sonnenuntergang genossen werden kann. Das alles ohne die Menschenmassen vor der Höhle. Vielen Dank dafür noch einmal. ☺️

Our stay with Saro and his family was lovely. The location near the bat cave is super, the bed was very comfortable and the food was delicious. But the best of all was our host Saro. He told us what to explore and even picked us up with his scooter to bring us to a secret spot away from the other tourists. There we could watch the bats with an incredible view over the landscape. It was also very interesting to listen to his stories and he was happy to answer all our question. Our stay here was an unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend it to everyone!

This is a REAL homestay in the countryside in Cambodia and we loved it! The famous bad caves and mountain temple are right nearby. The monks chant in the background and you feel transported to a different time. The owner is exceptionally kind, his wife cooks, lovely food, the homestay only has three rooms and it’s just exactly what you’d want from your time in Cambodia.

This is an authentic homestay, which I have never experienced before. I have travelled to Vietnam and they’d slap the label homestay even though it was a hotel! The bat cave and killing cave is close by. The owners family lives on the property and they are all so kind. They cooked us authentic Khmer food for dinner, which was so tasty! I was “mmmm” the whole time as I was eating. The owner speaks great English and is easy / fun to chat with. The location is nestled into nature and is relaxing to be at. I highly recommend staying here!
