蘭斯當格羅夫飯店(Lansdown Grove Hotel)

Lovely old fashioned hotel, it was a bit of a trek from the lift to our room at the top but worth it for the view from the window. Breakfast was very good and beautifully presented. The staff were very polite and completely unobtrusive. Will definitely stay there again.

We stayed for one night in a double room and had breakfast. The hotel is located out of Bath centre on a steep hill. Buses stop outside for easy access into Bath and taxis are very reasonably priced. However, anyone with mobility issues should probably avoid this hotel. Parking is very limited and charged at £10 a night. Parts of the common areas of the hotel are worn and tired while others have been recently refurbished. It's quite a mix. We booked a standard double room but our allocated room was very small. It was also located directly by the main road and was very noisy. The secondary double glazing in the room did not cope at all. The room was very clean and had all required amenities but again it was very small. Breakfast, which was not included in the room rate, was served in a pleasant dining room and was very good.

Bonne adresse. La chambre était confortable et d'une bonne taille. On a profité du parking (10£ par jour). L'hôtel n'est pas très loin du centre de Bath, une quainzaine de minutes à pied. Il y a aussi des bus.

Le seul point faible est que l’hôtel s’annonce près de tout à distance de marche. Mais à moins d’être très en forme la remontée du centre jusqu’à l’hôtel est quasi impossible.

Room 503 is right at the very top of the hotel - see the photo. Stairs only from the 3rd floor and steep steps from 4th to 5th. Issue for those with large/heavy suitcases. Reception did not offer support for luggage. Lift worked on the first day but out of order the next. However the view from the window over Bath is awesome.
