This was our 2nd visit and it was even better than the first time if that was possible. We are completely relaxed and we will be back for no 3 soon!

This is a place to really feel away from it all. It has been a long time since I heard the wind whistling through the pines. Even though it was hot outside - I could not stop from being on the back porch for hours, mostly in the hammock. The theme of the cabin is fun and absolutely feels and is rustic. And that is what was looking for…and got. The communication was great and was very friendly on top of that. You could tell you were going somewhere unique while driving back the unpaved farm road and it was that and more. Had everything you need to unwind and relax. This was a three day stay after a day of work but I will be coming back out just to stay there for sure. Highly recommend!!!!

Loved the cute cabin. The host responded back quickly. There was an issue with the dishwasher and there were insects that came up thru pipes in 1 bathtub

Piney Woods Weekend
The cabin at Lost Pines is absolutely perfect. Very quaint while still having all the amenities you need. We had five people for the weekend and it was very comfortable. I am absolutely looking to stay here again! We stayed in the cabin while attending Sherwood, so I would love to return and spend the weekend just exploring the property. The owners were very sweet and responsive. Highly recommend!

Annual getaway after Christmas
This was the perfect place for our getaway. The property was fantastic. The cabin was wonderful full of interesting history about the Chicken Ranch and everything we needed to cook and relax. Jan was wonderful and always responsive. The best part for us was being able to let our dogs off leash to run and hike the numerous trails. We will definitely return

Another great stay in the woods
Our favorite place to relax and unwind free from the road noise, and noisy neighbors. This was our third visit and already planning for next year. This cabin is as advertised, quaint, rustic but with the best back porch in Texas. Great for morning coffee or evening drinks and with a view what else could you ask for.

Peaceful Retreat Among the Pine Trees
I loved the feel of the cabin on this private property tucked among the pine trees. If you are looking for peaceful solitude, this is the place. Very close to the state park for hiking and the little town is cute too. The cabin was a little buggy, not too bad, but expected since it's in the middle of nowhere. I enjoyed a peaceful solo get away here.

Secluded rustic cabin on 255 acres of private pine forest. Enjoy hiking, mountain biking & views from large deck. Fully stocked kitchen with coffee maker, blender, microwave, & dishwasher. BBQ on the outdoor propane grill and enjoy a campfire under the stars (bring your own firewood or collect downed wood and cut to pit size). 2 miles off highway. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and families. Pets are allowed with a $30 per pet fee. Up to three pets. Please let us know if you will be bringing yours.
Our cabin is on property that has been in our family since the early 1800s and guests are encouraged to walk, ride (bring your bike) and enjoy the serenity of the area at their leisure. You’ll find the construction of our cabin comfortable, attractive and interesting. Newly renovated as of January 2019 with updated appliances and vinyl flooring throughout. The cabin's interior walls are of cedar and the exposed rafters add an extra charm. The front and back doors are usually open to enjoy the gentle breeze that blows through the cabin. Well water can taste and smell like sulfur. Recommend bringing your own drinking water. Enjoy the beauty of over 200 acres of private land.About pets:Pets allowed: less than 50 lbs per pet (limit 2 pets total).Single $25 pet fee, up to 3 pets..About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking allowed: in designated areas.About events:Events allowed: family gatherings.Maximum event attendees: 10.
