Very bad experience. We booked for the carnival in the autumn to make sure we had accommodation and tickets. The booking was with right of cancellation up to a week before, about 3 February. In January they started messaging me on Booking and whatsapp (the writer was two people who didn't communicate with each other, so I had to update both chats), threatening me that if I didn't pay the full amount within a few days they would cancel my booking. After much pressure we decided, reluctantly, to pay. After a week they set up a group chat on whatsapp (no one gave them permission), storming us with messages with the carnival programme and saying there were tickets for the hotel. When we arrived the lady at the reception desk told us that the tickets were gone, upon our remonstrances, she started to respond in a very rude and arrogant manner. She verbally attacked us that we had to buy the tickets first and that it was not their problem at this point. After that we went to the carnival and they tried to rob us immediately, tired of everything, we went back to the hotel (we hadn't even taken the room yet), we asked to leave and to get a refund since we had paid in advance despite the fact that the Booking rules clearly stated that we could cancel. Of course they didn't give us any refund. Very bad service.
Lovely hôtel, sweetly designed, breakfast tend to be smaller than the usual buffet, but I think it is better quality. only 4/5 on cleaness because there could have been a little more vaccum in the room but nothing disturbing. Bed are very very clean and the room as well overall. Aircon doesn’t smell.

Habitaciones cómodas y las áreas comunes limpias/ it was a very impeccable service, upon you arrive at the hotel you are able to feel comfortable and homie, the customer service is exceptional, the rooms are great clean and spacious, the amenities areas are always clean, main dishes are great highly recommended the picada del sol ( fried pork, fried plantains!
The hotel is located a couple of block from a very nice shopping center with plenty of restaurants and shops. The hotel is very nice as you would expect a HGI to be. I would say it is even nicer than the same hotel brand in the US. The price was very reasonable. The hotel staff was very professional and courteous. The breakfast was very good. You can order eggs any style you like. It offers some items from the typical food from the region although that would be the one aspect I would say the hotel could increase its wow factor. I definitely would recommend this hotel and would return when I travel to Barranquilla.
TTourist61642882589After staying more than a week in mediocre hotels as a tourist this Ibis is a whole relief. Back to European standards with a modern designed hotel and modern rooms, buffet breakfast, so all you can eat, instead of the tiny breakfast at most B&B's. Location close to a modern big mall. Standard room is ok with a good bathroom, bed a bit too hard and the biggest downside you can't open a window, which is noticeable in the hallways as well, a particular smell as there is never fresh air coming in. Free indoor parking available, good wifi.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is located in a good area where you can walk freely through the nearby neighborhood and feel safe. Also, you can find many coffee shops, restaurants, and place to shop in the area. I would like to thank Carmen D for taking the time to help me correct some things with my Rewards membership. I was very impressed by the quick time it took to update my Rewards account since it had been over a month from the time I had stayed in the hotel.
訪訪客Absolutely nicest place to stay in Barranquilla. Loved the friendly staff and Colombian breakfast. Good hotel for the price. Got a nice upgrade, never had a problem. People are friendly ,rooms are big and clean. Really nothing to complain about. Taxi driver wouldn’t find it…duhhh
