"Loved this place. My wife was on a photography course ( also brilliant) but we got to enjoy the fantastic food which our American friends on the cookery school prepared for us- traditional Italian meals to suit all tastes, all under the expert guidance of jovial Rita and her team. Lovely friendly atmosphere, lots of wine, fun and friendship in this beautiful part of Tuscany."

"We stayed sadly for 1 night only due to time constraints ! The staff are welcoming, friendly and highy efficient. The building is very well presented and is very well maintained. A stunning Victorian Style Tuscan Villa, the hotel rooms are set on 2 upper sprawling floors. lovely rooms, immaculately turned out with impressive landing areas which you can relax and use. An outdoor swimming pool in on offer as well. Breakfast is very comprehensive, served by wonderfully cheery ladies. Nothing is too much bother ! Please give it a go, you won't be disappointed !"

"Don't come if your family expect dinner - Ciocco may send you on a 45 mins drive! First the Positive : Great location Good modern rooms with excellent views Clean Negative: Service Checked in at 17.15 staff recommend to book in hotel restaurant (hotel 20 mins from nearest external restaurant) Booked 30 mins later for 21.00 and was told all is full despite hotel is far from full but due to non hotel bookings. Why do we book a remote hotel with restaurant to drive 45 mins to have Dinner ??? Zero will to accommodate dinner for ONE person! After dinner beware of The 4 km windy private mountain road to the Il Ciocco hotel with no lights, reflex markers or road markings and even no safety road defense in places. Check out time at 10 AM !! Better not sleep in while on holiday as you will be kicked out of bed!! Does not comply with 3 star conditions: No fridge in room but in public entry, No room phone, No desk Bathroom window straight to exterior passage with no curtain or frosted glass so nice sharing. When you book a MTB for 2 days no bike on the second day and no apologies for mistake. IN SHORT NICE FACILITIES BUT WHAT IS THAT WORTH IF YOU CANT HAVE DINNER BUT LOTS OF POOR SERVICE."

"五月的一個週末，我們帶著博斯科洛的禮品包住在這座被綠樹環繞的巨大建築裡。酒店實際上坐落在一座小山上，享有真正的全景，並且與一切隔絕。 許多房間分佈在不同的樓層和結構中，有一個漂亮的用餐室和一個露台，露台上有一個非常宜人的游泳池，適合陽光明媚的日子。 總體而言，房屋（包括房間）保存得很好，儘管在某些細節上歲月的流逝很明顯。我們的房間很小，但配備了所有必需品。 飯店設有一個附桑拿和健身房的室內游泳池。如果不是太擁擠的話，也可以放鬆一下…最好選擇不尋常的時間來享受一點寧靜。 自助早餐非常豐富且令人滿意！午餐的菜單相當簡單，而晚餐的菜餚則變得更加複雜。 至於休閒水療區，我們發現價格實在太高（大約是「市場」價格的兩倍）。友好的工作人員。"

"We have just returned from an unforgettable holiday at Mezza Luna. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. Where to start? Food, wine, cookery lessons, visits, company, the views, Rita's hospitality. It was a home from home. We were welcomed like family members. Everybody is made to feel so welcome. We were a mixed group from different countries and very different ages but all "gelled" from the first moment we met and felt relaxed in Rita's beautiful home."

"We travelled as a family of four, myself my husband and two daughters aged 6 and 3. We had a delightful welcome. The staff were very accommodating and kind. They helped with many queries before and during our stay. The hotel has retained many old features which is lovely to see, there is AC in the rooms, the water is always lovely and hot. The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The breakfast was pleasant and eggs are cooked to order. We thoroughly enjoyed the choice of music played at breakfast. The bedrooms were very spacious, we stayed on the top floor attic and my daughters had their own room which was beautiful too. If you would like a view from the windows I'd suggest a mid floor. The pool was nice and cool and there are always loungers available. The old town was easily walkable but there are many steep inclines for those who are less able. My two girls managed the walk fine. There are plenty of restaurants within the town to choose from, these were average. The town is quiet even in peak season so if you're looking for a quiet sleepy medieval italian town for pleasant walks this would be the right place. Villa moorings hotel is highly recommended for your stay. "
