Being close to central Kolkata, it’s easy to access various parts of the city, whether for business or leisure. The immediate surroundings are pleasant and relatively peaceful, which added to the comfort of the stay. The room provided was decent—clean, well-organized, and equipped with the expected amenities for a four-star property. The bed was comfortable, and the room had adequate lighting and storage space. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly luxurious. In terms of comfort and upkeep, the room met my expectations. One feature I particularly appreciated was the hotel’s gym facility. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a decent range of equipment for a quick workout. For a short stay, it was more than sufficient and a welcome amenity for anyone looking to stay active while traveling. However, one significant downside was the dining experience. The biggest letdown was the limited food choices, especially in the set dinner menu. While the staff were polite and the service was timely, the menu lacked variety and felt quite restrictive. For a property of this category, I had expected a broader range of options, including some regional or seasonal specials. The lack of flexibility and limited appeal of the dinner options certainly took away from an otherwise comfortable stay. It might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but for those who enjoy exploring a hotel’s culinary offerings, this can be a sore point. The check-in and check-out processes were efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and helpful. There was a general air of professionalism throughout the hotel staff, which contributed positively to the experience. In conclusion, Kenilworth Hotel offers a reliable and comfortable stay with the added benefit of a good location and useful amenities like the gym. Very friendly staff and good location. Although 3 stars is a bit high. It is rather 2,5 stars. Breakfast was a good start of the day, continental and Indian. Room was small and old, ac noisy. But who cares; you don’t go to Kolkata to stay in your room. On the roof was a terrace where you can eat and drink. All in all great stay. Will definitely come back next time
