班霍爾姆海濱飯店(Bandholm Badehotel)

En overnatning i rent og komfortabelt rum. God mad på ude restauranten var kombineret med god og underholdende service. Morgenmaden var også frisk og god kvalitet. Alt i alt et rigtig godt ophold.

Et skønt hotel i lækker “old stile” og skøn mad-menu. Værelset var stort og rummeligt

Wir haben 3 Nächte im Bandholm Hotel verbracht. Das Gebäude und Ambiente sind sehr schön. Leider waren die restlichen Erfahrungen nicht so positiv. Zimmer Da wir mit unsere Hündin anreisten, stand uns leider nur die einfachste Zimmer Kategorie zur Auswahl, obwohl wir gerne eine Suite gebucht hätten. Die Zimmer sind extrem klein, dunkel und direkt an der Straße gelegen. Ab 6 Uhr morgens fahren die LKWs zum kleinen Industrie Hafen nebenan direkt am Fenster vorbei. An Ausschlafen ist also leider nicht zu denken. Das einzig positive an dem Zimmer war das bequeme Bett. Mini Bar, Bademantel und sonstige Annehmlichkeiten sucht man vergeblich. Restaurant Wir haben zwei Mal Lunch und zwei Mal Dinner im Hotel eingenommen. Eine Alternative in der Umgebung gibt es übrigens nicht. Das Gourmet Restaurant ist hübsch eingerichtet. Mein Mann gönnte sich Kaviar zur Vorspeise, ich mir Languste. Die Portion Languste war wirklich zum Lachen. Ein halber Daumen groß wäre übertrieben. Im Gegensatz dazu kam die (leider zu fettige) Scholle im Hauptgang mit einer Schale voll Kartoffeln. Da hätte man sich also richtig satt essen können, wenn es denn geschmeckt hätte. Aber die Gänge passten einfach nicht zusammen. Der Service war so langsam, dass wir kein Dessert mehr angeboten bekamen. Service Der Service im Hotel lässt leider sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Kellner sind größtenteils langsam und desinteressiert. Am zweiten Abend mussten wir leider ungeplant unsere Hündin mit zum Essen nehmen, da sie einen Unfall und eine kleine OP hatte, so dass wir sie nicht alleine lassen konnten. Wir wussten, dass Hunde im Restaurant nicht gestattet sind. Wir baten dann darum, dass wir uns ein Hauptgericht auf die Terrasse bestellen können. Das sei leider nicht möglich. Ich war überrascht und fragte nach einer Lösung. Wir mussten ja etwas essen, Alternativen gibt es leider nicht. Mir wurde nur gesagt, dass man leider nicht genug Personal habe, um auf der Terrasse zu bedienen. Ich bot an, dass wir etwas bestellen und es selber mit raus nehmen. Auch das sei nicht möglich, da dann alle Gäste draußen sitzen wollen. Naja, dann sollte man sich vielleicht mal überlegen, ob es bei 25 grad nicht angemessen wäre, Außenplätze anzubieten… uns wurde dann gesagt, wir könnten das Essen mit aufs Zimmer nehmen. Ich habe nur ungläubig gefragt, ob ihnen bewusst sei, wie klein die Standard Zimmer seien? An Essen ist da nicht zu denken. Dann könnten wir uns ja auf die Parkbänke vor der Hotel Terrasse setzen. Da wäre ich wirklich fast ausgerastet. Wir wohnen drei Nächte in einem vermeintlich schönen Hotel und mir wird als einzige Alternative angeboten, dass ich mein Essen außerhalb des Hotel Geländes einnehme? Ich war fassungslos. Ich fragte dann, ob wir ggf in der Bar sitzen können, dort liegt immerhin kein Teppichboden. Das wurde dann nach kurzer Diskussion erlaubt. Wohl aber auch nur, weil ich mittlerweile sehr ungehalten wurde. Ich habe wirklich freundlich nach einer Lösung gefragt, so etwas habe ich noc

Beautiful building and unique location. Comfortable room and wonderful dining experience! Staff a little inexperienced but very helpful and friendly. Poor communication between restaurant and hotel had us very nearly not being charged for dinner. You shouldn’t have to rely on the honesty of your guests! Otherwise faultless.

Not a good welcome. Had to persuade the reseptionist to gave us a table for dinner, although knowing that this is the only eatingplace in the area. A big company group was more important. The room was fine and clean and easy accesable from street. The dinner was not a success. The fish was tasteless and not delicate presented. Why must almost all danish badehotels try to go down the gourmet lane ? We miss the traditionell dansih cooking. Breakfast was good but very fancy and modern. Almost as we still are in covid times. Nice and quiet area.

We had read great reviews of The Bandholm Hotel and their high level and I must say that everything we had read was 100% correct. We were treated with a 7 course dinner of international standard. Fantastic performance of the headchef and his staff. Service at a high level in both the restaurant, reception and lounge. We stayed overnight at the Bandholm hotel and had the most unique experience. On a sunny day in the middle of February, we visited the hotel and can highly recommend visiting this completely unique and beautiful place.

The hotel rooms are great and it is easy to get a parking place. The only disturbing was the breakfast with a set 3-course-menu which I did not like. Everybody get the same - not changeable, no discussion. The owners think they know what is good for the guests and all have the same taste.

We visited for my sisters birthday as a family. We had booked 2 nights and had specifically told the receptionist at the time of booking that there were 2 vegetarians to which we were told this was no problem. Dinner is a set menu chosen by the chef each night and as with the rest of our weeklong Denmark trip we had told all hotels of the vegetarian requirements. However, at Bandholm this message wasn’t noted and the staff / chef / restaurant were unable to find a solution. We were even accused of lying about telling the hotel beforehand ! We were asked if we had confirmation in writing that we had asked for 2 vegetarians (what!). Honestly the way we were treated, rude staff, not solution minded or polite whilst sitting in this dark and depressing interior made us want to leave immediately. The decor is like a cheap nightclub not at all like a Badehotel and that have a difficult prima Donna head chef who had absolutely NO extra vegetables to make 2 vegetarian meals. This place used to be beautiful and you could sit in the lovely garden and terrace but this is no longer allowed !!! The breakfast service was also a disaster, a very young and incompetent girl was trying to handle check outs / make coffee and take orders - the whole place could have been run better by children and more politely. Avoid this place - used to be so nice but no longer sadly.
