Visiting friends in the village and so pleased they booked us into The Quarrymans Rest. Friendly and easy book in and pleasantly surprised at the spacious and clean room. Everything catered for with tea, coffee, kettle and milk supplied and a lovely view. Had a pint on arrival and sat outside with very welcoming locals. Returned after a night out and sat inside. As previous reviews have stated, this is a proper pub with very friendly, hardworking landlord. There is even the pub cat Denzil. In the morning we had a lovely fried breakfast and left wishing we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back.

Called in for a drink to The Quarryman's Arms, after doing some canvassing with friends. I was last there over 8 years ago. What a change! We were welcomed by the landlady, who had on offer a wide range of real ales, ciders and lagers. The pub had a greatly improved village pub feel, with a real buzz. Bampton has two pubs and both have their own unique feel.

The family rooms more like an apartment were excellent. Everything you needed in the room including dvds for the kids. The host was brilliant and locals in the bar were welcoming. The location and setting lovely. Would recommend to stopping here

A fine hotel for a cycling holiday stop-over. We were on a cycling trip from Lands End to John O'Groats and this was not far off the route. Good value accommodation. Breakfast was excellent but the hotel does not offer an evening meal on most nights. Plenty options in town though. Staff were friendly and the pub in the hotel was friendly too. Safe and secure storage for the bikes was provided too.

Used as a stayover whilst cycling Sustrans route 3. Perfectly good for that purpose. However, do check dining options in the town - they are very limited, particularly on a Sunday!

Lovely warm welcome in this quaint country pub. Extremely spacious suite of rooms for our family of 2 adults and 3 older children. Very clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Kettle to make hot drinks, plenty of teas, coffees, milk sugar and hot chocolates all laid out perfectly. Tv and good selection of dvds in children’s room, bedside shelves and lamps for them too. Beautiful large bathroom with separate shower and huge deep bath. All spotlessly clean and plenty of towels. Really quiet and peaceful. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast with a good selection of drinks. A great little place to stay and so nice to be able to have all 5 of us together as most places only cater for a family of 4.
