We stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary last weekend. It was our first trip away together since our little girl was born last year so it was extra special. The whole experience was amazing. The hotel staff looked after us very well and really helped us feel welcomed. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the cocktails were so good. The weather was also really good and the spa area felt extra relaxing with the wonderful views

Good bar staff, way overpriced and overrated in general, leaks into room, poor management, poor drink etc overpriced, ballina manor is much better value for money and a nicer hotel. Not a 4 or 5 star hotel by any means, it is dirty and overrated

I stayed at the Ice House midweek in August. The hotel and dinner was lovely. I ws there for my 40th birthday with my husband, leaving our two toddlers for the first time. Unfortunately I had such a negative experience when at the hotel's thermal suite that left me very upset. I was in the hot tub casually chatting to ladies in there. A member of staff came over asking us to keep our voices down as people were having treatments. This is totally unacceptable, we were chatting and laughing. It made me feel awful and very unwelcome. I left shortly after as the experience was so negative. A hot tub is a social place, people are going to talk and laugh, as they should. You also pay e25 extra per person to use the hotel's thermal suite. I was glad I was leaving that morning because of this encounter and I felt very upset leaving the hotel because of it. I was going to book a couple of nights for my mother's birthday, but wont be doing that now as I couldn't face another encounter like that again. I wouldn't recommend the hotel to others either for this reason. It's very disappointing and totally dampened the stay and the occasion I went for. I emailed the hotel TWICE to complain about this and was reassured management would contact me and nobody ever did. It's just not good enough.

We recently had the most fabulous weekend in The Ice House Hotel! We were originally supposed to be getting married on the weekend of our stay but due to circumstances beyond our control we had to postpone and we treated ourselves to a weekend away to keep our minds busy! And what a brilliant stay we had! The hotel went out of their way to make it special for us with little touches here and there it was so kind & thoughful. The spa facilities are amazing and the flow of the spa is fantastic! The relaxation room was a personal favourite along with the outdoor jacuzzi! My only regret is not having any treatments booked, but definitely next time! The food at dinner and breakfast was fab! There’s so much choice on the menu and you can tell that the produce is locally sourced and fresh too! Could not fault anything about our stay, the hotel or the staff everything was absolutely fantastic!

We recently enjoyed a fabulous two-night stay at The Ice House Hotel and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional, with a special mention for Ola on reception, who was so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in a River View Room, which offered the most stunning views and sunsets — a highlight in itself. Dinner on both nights was an absolute treat; the food was truly exceptional with a wide variety of options, including excellent vegetarian and vegan choices for my partner. During our stay, we booked the seaweed baths at the iconic Chill Spa, which were simply amazing. The views, the relaxing atmosphere, and the thoughtful aftercare provided by the spa staff made it such a memorable experience. The hot tubs, ice bath, and other spa amenities added to a wonderfully relaxing afternoon. Every member of staff we encountered — at reception, in the restaurant, bar, and spa — were a credit to the hotel. Their warmth and professionalism really enhanced our stay. Overall, this was a memorable and luxurious experience, and we are already looking forward to returning. Thank you to everyone at The Ice House Hotel for making our stay so special.

Incredible from start to finish. Super location and views, very friendly staff, great spa treatments and the food was 5 star. Could not fault on any level. A real real treat!
