Bernstein Schlosshotel Ballenstedt

Kamers op bovenste verdieping zijn erg warm in de zomer en hebben geen airco of fan. Onze kamer rook na een tijdje naar riool als de afzuiging afstond, is niets met klacht gedaan. Het bijgeboekte halfpension diner was aanfluiting. Geen goede keuze, matige aflevering (sla met bruine bladeren, maar 3 garnalen in sla) Geen vegetarische keuze bij hoofdmaaltijd. Wel goed dat bij keuze van a la carte hoofdmenu alleen meerprijs werd geregeld. Daarnaast schone, stille kamer en zeer vriendelijk personeel en goed Ontbijtbuffet.

Het hotel is wat gedateerd en heeft geen airco. Ook het douchen in bad vonden wij niet fijn i.v..m. de hoge opstap Er is veel te weinig en niet goed opgeleid personeel. In het restaurant is de bediening chaotisch!!!!!. Als je naar de grote kaart vraagt kijkt men bedenkelijk. Laat het personeel een goede opleiding volgen!!!!!

This is a very good hotel in an interesting East german village on the edge of the Harz Mountains. The hotel is located in an impressive building that gives it character. Excellent welcome at reception. The rooms are well appointed but are showing their age somewhat but no real complaints. Pity there is only a shower over the bath. Very comfortable beds. The hotel has recently changed ownership and is now in the hands of the Berstein Group. It looks as if there is money now being invested in the hotel - already apparent in some of the public rooms. Good sauna/swimming pool area and also a small but well equipped fitness room. Can also play pool. Breakfast was also very good - standard but wholesome German breakfast. Not much going on in the town but this is the attraction - interesting buildings, castle, etc. Very close to the eastern end of the Harz. Recommend the Roseburg castle just outside the town.

Nice little town on the border of the Harz region, good place to stay to explore. The restaurant did disappoint, but the coffee is good. The Italian ice cream parlor Cuore Di Panna in town is worth a visit!

Tolles Hotel, ich komme gern wieder! Besonders hat mir als Bernstein-Fan der Schmuck gefallen! Bernsteinschmuck aus eigener Produktion und eine sehr kompetente Beratung dazu - das hat man nicht in jedem Hotel! Ich kann (fast) nur positives berichten: 1. Rezeption: sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und auch mit Geheimtipps nicht sparsam (Danke an Frau Möller, wenn Sie das hier lesen sollten!) 2. Zimmer: schön, alles was man braucht, war da. Und selbst wenn etwas fehlen sollte, wird sofort für Ersatz gesorgt 3. Frühstück: gut, nicht spektakulär, aber definitiv ausreichend; nettes Personal 4. Abendessen: in Ordnung, aber die Freundlichkeit einer Servicemitarbeiterin hat leider gefehlt, das Essen hat aber geschmeckt 5. Sauna und Schwimmbad! Toll, hat mir gut gefallen. Wellnessanwendungen hatte ich leider nicht, aber dennoch empfehlenswert Alles in allem auf jeden Fall ein toller Aufenthalt und ich komme gern wieder.

Wir waren zwei Nächte übers Wochenende dort. Frühstück und Abendessen waren wirklich absolute Klasse! Auch das Personal war super-freundlich und hat immer sofort und gern geholfen. Schwimmbad und Sauna wurden auch durch uns genutzt. Absolut empfehlenswert!
