Casual dining, friendly staff. Lasagne and salad beautifully cooked. Steak pie - one of the best ever. Good selection of local ales. Haggis and black pudding Bon bobs to start was easily shared👍 This is the third time we have been and this restaurant and bar team never fail to deliver👍

Popped in for an evening meal. We ate in the bar area and it was lovely and cozy. Very welcoming people. We had really nice food. Steak Pie was delicious.

Great hotel in Ballater. Very clean room, nice outlook, good amenities & spotless bathroom. Good choice at breakfast & a great bar/restaurant for dinner (though best to book as it gets busy).

I had a very comfy stay here. It’s centrally located with easy on street parking. Hotel staff are very friendly and the food (I had an evening meal and breakfast here) was lovely - good quality and fair prices. The en-suite bedroom had what I needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel for a meal. Went for evening meal with friends. Greeted & served promptly by friendly efficient staff. Food was really good - some things we enjoyed were - lentil soup, broccoli soup - both good sized quantities, perfect consistency & nice & hot; beefsteak pie - amazing … & chicken olives stuffed with oatmeal & delicious sauce! All at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this place!

One of the friendliest small hotels I have ever stayed in! The whole place was spotlessly clean and tidy, all meals (breakfast and evening bar meals) were excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for exploring the beautiful countryside around, with plentiful opportunities for great walks and cycle rides.
