The reception is on 24/7 so great for security. The day and night staff are so friendly and helpful. We booked B&B and thought it was just a continental breakfast. Breakfast choice is amazing, English, Continental, cereal plus gluten free, yoghurts, fresh fruit, different breads, toaster and tasty croissants. Cartons of different juices with tea and coffee making facilities. Staff constantly refilling. When you check in they ask what time you wish breakfast. They have so many per sitting and it was well run with no pushing and shoving and seating for everyone. Definitely get an exterior room to the back. Lovely verandah with seating and a table. No washing line so bring pegs to peg any washing to the iron railings. The railing have a privacy screen on them. Room is a good size with plenty of storage. Good size bathroom with lots of freebies including toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower cap, comb, sewing kit etc. Hand wash, body wash & shampoo all available in a huge walk in shower. There are rooms with baths available. As I’m disabled I requested a shower. Bedding was immaculate. It’s the whitest sheets I have ever had in a hotel. 4-5* have never matched this. So thumbs up to the laundry staff. The cleaners were brilliant. Sheets and towels constantly being changed. We just had the best 10 days ever. So relaxing. The hotel is within 5 minutes of the Balcon de Europa, restaurants, pubs and shops. We had such a fab time we are back in September. Fabulous hotel and very well run. See you soon. 👍👍💖

Very nice adult only hotel in a great location. In the quiet end of Nerja with only a five minute walk to the biz. The rooms are very well equipped and cleaned every day. We were half board and the buffet service was very nice and varied. The public areas were very nice spacious with some nice quiet areas. There is in house entertainment in the evening which was varied and covers all tastes. The pool area was nice although when we were there we could not lie about long due to the cold wind blowing down the coast. There is access from the pool area to a prom which runs along the coast to the right of the hotel which leads to a small beach bar. Ideal for the 5 o'clock refreshment. You can also cross the road if its too windy at the pool to the Ship where the sun always seemed to shine.

Check in would've been easy but we only had my husbands passport! Luckily we had a photo of it which was accepted. Beautiful room on the second floor, air conditioning, fridge, complimentary water, shampoo etc, comfortable bed, very well appointed. The hotel is so convenient close to the centre of Nerja and close to a car park...22€ for less than 24 hours. We will be back. The upstairs bar and jacuzzi were a bonus..not connected to the hotel, but fabulous views over Nerja, amazing cocktails and tapas.

Literally just got back today after a 4 day holiday in Nerja where we stayed at The Plaza Cavana. We were assigned room 304 with a sea view terrace. WOW! The views of the church and the Med were incredible. But what made our stay so special was the fantastic service we received from each and every member of staff at the hotel. The location is right at the very heart of the beautiful village of Nerja. The roof top pool is a huge bonus and like the rest of the hotel immaculately clean. We can't wait to book our next trip to the rather wonderful Plaza Cavana Hotel

訪訪客In Spain there are hostels and hostals; the latter is similar to a hotel or guest-house. A hostel (with an ”e”) is a youth hostel in anywhere, as I understand. Now we have that sorted-out, this review may help you to ‘get-over’ any perceived stigma or embarrassment about staying in a hostal (potentially assumed to be a cheaper and lesser standard of accommodation). Our hostal was on the Carabeo Road; a stones-throw from the cultural centre of Nerja (the Balcon de Europa). Unfortunately the hostal was also adjacent to a large open-area variously used for events, including the ‘Nerja Feria’; a festival which is held in early October. When we booked we hadn’t realized it was festival week. A few days before flying-out we were advised of the festival, and given the opportunity to cancel (much appreciated, thanks). The noise was truly horrific and lasted all afternoon, evening and all throughout the night until about 5am. It was virtually impossible to sleep at night; we had to use earplugs, or otherwise grin and bear the constant noise. This is not where you would stay during the festival unless you are extremely hard of hearing, or a heavy sleeper, or you are intending to attend the festival. That was the only seriously bad issue here, mostly it was otherwise good or very good. We booked a double room with en suite bathroom/WC. The bed (actually beds) however were two separately sheeted single beds pushed together. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent and failed at various times despite, we were told by the very kind and attentive management staff, a substantial investment in what appeared to be a Mesh or Wi-Fi booster system. The English speaking staff were in an office right next-door to our hostal, other hostals owned by Tre Soles (Three Suns) are also situated on the Carabeo Road. There are two more: one with smaller rooms ideal for shorter stays, and the other with, I understood, apartments with great sea-views. In our room the bathroom generally was great: the shower was fantastic, the plumbed-in hairdryer was excellent, but the bidet tap was a bit over-enthusiastic, the basin tap conversely was slow, and the sink plug was very difficult to remove: ideally it needs a chain (or maybe pliers should be provided). In the main room there was very efficient remotely operated air-conditioning, a remotely-operated TV with just local channels (very, very occasionally in English), a fridge (essential to keep drinking water cold; we drank 1.5 liters a day in our room), plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, there was also a desk and a bench-chair, plus bedside cabinets with table lamps, and an occasional comfortable armchair. The room was serviced every day to a high standard, but the air-conditioner, and the extractor fan in the bathroom, badly need to be cleaned. Direct access was possible from our room (No. 23) via French Windows to the back garden with patio tables, chairs and parasol provided. Other rooms had access to the back garden via a

We booked a Superior room bed & breakfast for two weeks in January. This is what we liked … The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Rosa & the cleaning ladies. The place was very clean. The room had air con which you could turn up if you wanted some heat in the evening. The water was always hot in the walk in shower. The bed was huge and comfy. There was a safe in the large wardrobe. The patio had 2 plastic chairs and a table plus 2 sun beds (no cushions). It was very quiet once the bathroom window was closed. There’s bath & hand towels, as well as pool towels, soap dispenser and hair drier. There was a fridge in the room too (Tip: keep the cupboard door open as much as possible so the fridge stays cold. Not sure why it’s kept in a cupboard?) Mercadona supermarket next door, very handy for cold drinks, snacks etc. There’s car parking at the front and back of the hotel if needed. Best of all, it’s no smoking!! Things I can’t say we didn’t like, but were downsides to staying there. The restaurant was closed for the whole of January which we didn’t know. We did find some lovely places to eat though. It’s a long way to walk to the beach and most restaurants, but there is a bus (number 1) that drops you off outside the hotel so you don’t have to walk back. Stops at 9pm. This bus only does a circular and isn’t the Alsa bus. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. We got over that by buying our own cereal and fresh milk from Mercadona and eating it in the breakfast room. The pillows were really hard so we asked for some softer ones. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Very basic place but for the money I really couldn’t complain…. If you stay here your definitely best to have a car to get to the beach, town etc as it’s quiet a distance if your walking … Air conditioning worked great, bed nice and comfortable and the room was also spacious. We chose not to eat in the hotel as the breakfast was basic ham, cheese, bread etc All in all worth it for the price.
