I cannot recommend this property in any way. But - in all fairness - the room was decent enough. The windows only have shutters and no curtains, so the bright building lights shown in through the gaps all night. There was also a clicking noise up in the ceiling which was annoying. But the property leaves a lot to be desired. It all appears nice enough on the surface, even the cute bridge over the canal. Mainly, however - the place is a prison. There is almost no way to leave the property, and if they put you in the second building you're essentially trapped - and god forbid there is any emergency, you will die on the property. All of the pedestrian gates are actually padlocked, and the vehicle gates are locked shut - you would think you would be able to use a room key to get on and off the property somehow. Nope. If you're in building 2 there is only one way on or off the property, and that is around the back over the canal bridge. Heck, you can't even get back in some of the building doors with your room key - you have to walk all the way around the building if you go out. Aside from that, the restaurant & bar operates on "we'll wing it" hours - so you have no idea when they are open or closed. That's a direct quote - I didn't make it up. Good luck trying to plan a meal or a drink. There are several interesting restaurants or pubs right nearby but you can't get to them because the 8 foot fences and locked gates. If you don't want to walk around, This place is even trick
