It's a beautiful property in the north tip of Banderas Bay. Swimming pools are modern and relaxing. We got upgraded to one bedroom beach front with plunge pool. From the moment we arrived, we got pampered by staff. Our butler Gabino tried very hard to meet our needs. Butler Julio tried to work everything out for us in the morning. Jessica at Mita Mary gave us fantastic suggestions for our dinner. It's quite relaxing and beautiful place. On the hardware side, it lacks its own character. We could not know where we were. It's could be any brand names (Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons) in any part of the world.

El hotel está muy bonito , la atención es super buena en general todos muy atentos y serviciales , pero Toni lo máximo y Carlos en el área de playa, Gabino quien fue nuestro mayordomo fueron más q excelentes. Para relajarse y descansar está increíble , la playa el único detalle es que hay mucha piedra , pero hay una parte de la playa con un poco menos y está muy bien para nadar . En cuanto a precio es elevado pero es calidad garantizada . Los alimentos muy ricos en todos sus restaurantes .

I believe this resort has become my husband and myself's "Go-To" place for RnR, pampering and zen. This is our second time at this resort and better than our last visit in November 2022. I will also preface to say, that I am familiar with this area, having stayed at the Four Seasons (1X) and Hacienda de Mita (several times.)I should also mention that I used to frequent Hawaii every year, but the longer flights from western Canada vs. a shorter direct flight has helped to make this locale our new favourite. ARRIVAL: Wonderful front entry greeting with some very gracious staff. We were escorted to the new lobby (was still under construction when we were last there.) We were escorted to a lobby table overlooking the incredible view of the waterway, adult pool and ocean where our front end associate sat down with us to check us in while we were served the most delicious non-alcoholic cocktail. What a lovely refresher......I wish I had the recipe! After the formalities and the credit card being run through for approval, we were escorted to a golf cart with our luggage to begin our little journey to our casita. I will also preface, that I am a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member and thank you, we did receive an upgrade from garden view to ocean view room. CASITA: We were in room 4201, the same room as our last stay! I had requested it for this vacay as we found the location to the adult pool, the lobby, the spa, Mariettas for breakfast, to be a great location for us. Since we last visited, the room has been refreshed. I like it but with some reservations. Positives: new head board, sideboard for TV and bar, clean and new outdoor furniture, better outdoor shower floor tiling, and thank you for keeping the terra cotta tiles (LOVE..do not ever remove.) I also really appreciated the addition of a Nespresso machine in the room. We are early risers, and on our last stay, we had to wait forever to have the butler deliver the coffee. This was definitely a welcome addition. Negatives: the desk has been removed and replaced with chair and a chaise lounge, inside shower with marble floor is still so slippery when wet....again, an accident waiting to happen....just bypass and use the outdoor shower with better traction on floor. Our bellman delivered our luggage to our room and we were ready to unpack and start our vacation. I do have to mention that the steps that lead up and down to Casitas are very narrow without handrails and definitely caution is needed to navigate especially in the evening. I think ST. Regis should step up and install some handrails. (Check older review where a guest broke both of her ankles!) Caution is certainly advised! RESTAURANTS (ON AND OFF SITE): Mita Mary (onsite) OK! YAY! our first evening at our little piece of heaven! I had made a reservation at Mita Mary's. YAY! we loved this restaurant on our last visit and dined there for many dinners and many lunches. Very well maintained resort excellent for families. Rooms are clean, updated and well equipped with bath, shower and outdoor shower. Beach is rocky but water is easily swimmable and very convenient.plenty of pools and facilities for kids. Also has an adult pool that is quiet. Breakfast is best meal of the day... everything that you cld need is available. We found weakest link is the lunch and dinner food, very little " american or continental" choices, mostly Mexican and spicy. Hotel should make an effort to update the menu and make it more continental or American. Staff are constantly trying to help and most helpful . Always ready to help and suggest. Expensive resort at holiday times but very good value off peak.

We stayed at the Saint Regis Punta Mita for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and stellar service. The staff here (particularly our butlers Jaime and Miguel) truly went above and beyond. They did a great job of being attentive without being overbearing. The housekeeping team was also impressive, in addition to the pool and beach attendants, who were also attentive and helpful. The resort offers a wide range of activities. We loved the fishing excursion led by Spearmex, the tequila tasting offered in the lobby bar, and the tennis courts in the adjoining community. Booking activities and dinner reservations is very easy--It just requires a call or text to the butlers. We recommend looking at the weekly schedules the hotel sends out to learn more about what the resort has to offer. If you're looking for a place where luxury meets hospitality, the Saint Regis Punta Mita is the perfect choice.

Stay April 26th to May 1st. Room: 5203 I am a Titanium Bonvoy member and as such I was upgraded to an Ocean View room and had access to the full breakfast buffet for my wife and I at no charge. We were at the hotel in late April and the second-floor room had a cool breeze in the morning and evening. The property has a lot of green foliage with tall palm trees so our second-floor room was like being in our own isolated jungle room. The weather in Punta Mita is about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than Puerta Vallarta. The hotel has 120 rooms with more than 300 employees, (my estimate) which is a very high staff to room ratio. The hotel has a very high level of service, but a guest pays about four times the rate of a Marriott hotel like the one at the Marina in Puerto Vallarta. In my opinion you are not getting four times the value of the other Marriot hotels in the area. The hotel has three pools that all have a different vibe and menu offering. I never had a problem with finding a vacant place to sit at the pool or beach with lots of extra room to spread out. Once you find a location to sit, the attendant will put towels down on the chair and bring a bucket of bottled water and replace them throughout the day. During the day at the pool/beach the staff will bring small bits of food, ice cream and pop corn just to name a few offerings. I especially enjoyed the cool towels during the hot days. The rooms are all nicely appointed with live plants and flowers. Our room had two shower areas, one inside and the other outside. However, the inside shower floor was very slippery when wet and they did not have any grab bars. I especially enjoyed the outdoor shower that had a non-slip floor and you could listen to the birds. We received twice a day maid service that included an evening turndown service. The butler service is nice and all my requests were met within less than five minutes. The only time I needed the butler was for ice and a golf cart ride, but they will provide other services if asked. Our evening dinner was in Punta Mita about ten minutes from the hotel. The hotel offers black car service to and from town, just call the front desk and indicate what you need. The cost is 180 MXN to town and 360 MXN to return. The cost to travel to the airport is 2,200 MNX. The property is very secure and you have to go through two guard gates to gain access to the property. The hotel does not have a taxi stand at the entrance, only their black cars. The hotel does not offer money exchange services, only an ATM, so bring your Mexican pesos with you. Overall, the St. Regis makes the Ritz-Carlton hotels look like a poor country cousin in terms of service and ambience but at a HIGH Price. The day of check out all three of the butlers on duty came to my door to say good bye, which is another way to say they would like a tip.
