Our family of 5 stayed three nights at Paraiso Volcano Lodge and loved every minute of it. It was very affordable and our three teenagers also had their own cabin, which was perfect. Each cabin was very clean and had a fan, mini fridge, tv as well as private bathroom with shower. The breakfast served was excellent — complete with a choice of typical Costa Rican or continental American as well as a fruit salad and coffee or juice. Host Jorge and his family made us feel at home and offered excellent recommendations for the area. Their garden, butterfly arboretum and coffee plantation were also nice to explore. He also had coffee beans for sale too. Thank you for a wonderful stay (and for enduring our terrible attempt to speak Spanish 🤣). We highly recommend Paraiso Volcano Lodge as the location, value and hosts were top notch. 👍

Très bon accueil de Jorge qui nous a montré dès notre arrivée son élevage de papillons dont il semble passionné. Chambre simple avec frigo et ventilateur. De bons petits déjeuners préparés par l'épouse de Jorge. Et enfin de bons conseils pour les visites/randonnées à réaliser. Immersion en pleine nature où nous avons pu observer durant un long moment à quelques mètres de notre bungalow un paresseux en déplacement dans les arbres. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Des propriétaires vraiment attentionnés.

My husband and I stayed at the lodge for 3 nights and had an awesome getaway. Jorge and his family took excellent care of us. He has a beautiful property complete with his own organic coffee trees. The breakfast they served was great with his excellent coffee. Located right in front of the Miravalles volcano national park. We highly recommend this location and are definitely going to come back again. Thank you!

Wonderful stay at this small family-run business. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. I loved the local area as well - very friendly people, lots to do with hiking, affordable hot springs, and great food. The produce tends to be much more farm to table in this area of the country - and you can taste it! Clean rooms and great fresh breakfast with Jorge's self grown coffee - we purchased some to take home it was so delicious. I wish we could have stayed even longer.

Lovely spot to stay while exploring the national parks nearby. Lots to do within a fairly short drive - so many hot springs and fumaroles and waterfalls. Cabin was great - comfortable and clean. Appreciate the mini fridge and hot shower. Had an AC, but the fan and breeze from an open, screened window kept us cool enough. It is on a very good paved road, and between a couple towns with quite a few restaurants. I felt very safe driving back to the hotel in the dark (not so much the narrow, potholed mountain roads). Breakfasts were very good with plenty of food. Would gladly stay here again.

Jorge was a wonderful host. The setting was ideal for daily excursions and offered a beautiful, relaxing environment. The small coffee farm had a butterfly conservatory and Jorge gave us a private tour. He also helped us in arranging some excursions in the area. A delicious breakfast and evening snack was prepared and served daily. Coffee from the farm was available for sale. We highly recommend staying here.
