I booked thI booked the best room in the hotel "the oak" The verst hotel that i have been to, I booked it for 3 nights and 4 days, and stayed only for 15 hours. there was no water, and when complained to the owner, he gives excuses but not actions. When water comes, its full of mud, taps doesnt work properly, Jacuzzi doesnt operate. When one taps opens no water comes from other taps. Leakages all over the bathroom. Disgusting. The room is big and seems okay, but it hasn't been cleaned for ages, i think this is because guest doesn't come frequently. The road to the hotel is as bad as hotel. The food is a another mess, for dinner rhey only had boiled potatoes and carrots. The breakfast is good as the hotel. I strongly recommend NOT to book this hotel at any cost. My friends and I (four people in total) booked a stay at The Forest and Lake by Schofieldshire for one night, hoping for a relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, our experience was a far cry from what was promised and advertised. The road leading to the hotel was extremely difficult to navigate and small. Upon arrival we were shocked to find that the room we had reserved was vastly different from what was shown in the online pictures. While the furniture and decoration were somewhat similar the actual room size was far smaller than what we had imagined based on the images. The room which was supposed to comfortably accommodate four people was so cramped that even two people would have struggled to move around. The balcony could barely fit two people. When we voiced our concerns about the room’s size and condition the hotel staff offered to move us to two separate double rooms which only added to our frustration. The room we stayed in had visible mold on the ceiling, and the limited space made it nearly impossible to move without bumping into furniture. accessing the bathroom or the balcony felt like an obstacle course. furniture was poorly arranged creating a suffocating and uncomfortable environment. To make matters worse, the view was far from pleasant and did not match post online. We requested a refund of 10,000 rupees due to the misleading conditions and discomfort we experienced, but the customer relationship manager was incredibly rude and unhelpful. she dismissed our concerns and refused to offer any compensation. her unprofessional behavior and lack of empathy further exacerbated our frustration. It was clear that the hotel’s online photos were outdated, and the property was in far worse condition than depicted.On top of the misleading accommodation, we were frustrated by the hotels strict policies, including a ban on outside food and a prohibition on pork. This added unnecessary inconvenience to our stay. The property is absolutely not worth the price they charge and we realized this only after we arrived. had we known what we were getting into we would never have booked this hotel. We ended up leaving and finding another hotel, but they refused to offer any compensation or refund. In conclusion I strongly recommend against booking a stay at The Forest and Lake by Schofieldshire, especially if youre considering paying in advance. The property is much smaller than advertised & the views are unappealing and the overall experience was extremely disappointing. The deceptive advertising combined with poor customer service can ruin the joy of any trip. I hope this review helps others avoid the same frustration and disappointment we faced.
