Should have realised when I saw the rate discounted by $30. Stayed here approx 4 years ago and couldn't fault it. This stay however was nothing but full of faults. From the overgrown grass everywhere to the condition of the room. No cutlery or coffee mugs in the kitchenette, the smell of mould when lying in bed, the mouldy bathroom with hairs in the bottom of the shower, rusty light fittings, broken wheel on the oil heater, rotting lampshade. Not very impressed at all. Was unable to sort out a possible refund when I saw the room ad the reception closes at 9pm and there was noone around. They did leave a key out for me tho as I was checking in late....kinda wish they hadnt.

This Motel was so conveniently placed. It was right next to ASB Showgrounds where we were attending the Armageddon Expo. The manager was kind and helpful. We asked about transport to the airport and he organized a taxi for us. The rooms were tidy and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.
