Bed and Breakfast Blue Gum serveert GEEN breakfast. De eigenaar zie en hoor je niet, reageert amper of niet of textmessages en telefoontjes en neemt geen actie als je meldt dat de kamer meer dan smerig is. "Vandaag kunnen we niets doen". We kregen een andere kamer aangeboden in een andere accomodatie van hen (The Summit) maar dat was niet beter. Alles is beter dan dit.

Just spent two nights here, booked by our agent over a year ago. Unfortunately it has now changed hands and no longer serves as a B&B, and the new owner has said the place will be refurbished which it definitely needs . It certainly is not a 4* property at the moment, there is no restaurant and no breakfast, with minimal ability to make your own. Our room had an ageing fridge, microwave and toaster all plugged into an extension lead, with a bedside lamp plugged into another extension lead which ran from the first one. There was a kettle, but in order to fill it we had to use the bathroom sink and mugs of water as there is no kitchen sink; and a portable two plate burner but no pots/pans or utensils so rather useless. The parking is minimal and very tight, the swimming pool tiny and the property sits a fair way out of town so driving is essential. A very disappointing stay, to say the least.

Stayed for two nights and woken at 6.45am on a Sunday and 7am on Monday by persistently barking dog right outside window. Dog not owned by owner and instead is owned by tenant upstairs so when the owner was called she said she couldn’t do anything and the dog didn’t like her. In fact she said she started it barking on the Sunday (why???). Said she would speak to tenant but nothing happened. Understand this is a regular thing - and no refund or discount offered. Very very poor. Additionally room 2 toilet didn’t flush properly and ants on floor.

Pleasant - nice and quiet - our first b&b experience. Booking was nice and easy - all instructions were nice and clear. We were lucky and had some nice guests who were nice and quiet as their room was beside us and shared a common area. This made our first b&b experience pleasant.
