Very elegant, charming and friendly secret place in Kolonaki… In an ancient Athenian house. Beautifully furnished. Very comfortable. Full of plants. Some private gardens. Exquisite breakfast. An unforgettable experience.

I can only speak for my room. The artists atelier. It was absolutely the coolest room. Beautifully decorated. Great art. Dimitris was a wonderful host. I would recommend it to everyone. Great location.

A boutique hotel in Athens. Shila is exquisite. Tranquil, stylish and meticulously clean it is simply a must stay hotel. Adelia on reception was welcoming and the consummate professional host. Dimitris was outstanding too. Breakfast on the roof was first class. The rainwater shower and palatial bath were relaxing. For Australians abroad this gave a unique experience. A chance to relax, refresh and re-energise. Nice bars and restaurants within walking distance too. Shila is 10/10.

Beautiful Hotel , an oasis in the crazy city which is Athens . Sadly our experience wasn’t 10 out of 10 due to a rude member of staff . You can choose to have breakfast in your room or on the terrace . We chose 9am on the terrace . My friend goes up at nine and the lady working starts to set up around him , she sets up for 4 guests though we were only 2 . My friend try’s to communicate that we were only 2 but she doesn’t seem to understand. Around 9.30 up comes the said member of staff who starts telling us off because we are eating the wrong breakfast, he has our tray but is half an hour late . We try to apologise for the mistake and offer to move . This isn’t good enough he just keeps on over dramatizing the situation and makes us feel very uncomfortable , especially when we are not really to blame for the situation. The reality was we had started to drink the wrong coffee and had eaten a croissant so pretty easy to rectify . Not how you expect to be treated especially as it’s a pretty exclusive place to stay. A real shame as we spent a week on a nearby island and just had the one night in Athens , everyone else we encountered from waiters to taxi drivers to port staff were always kind and helpful. I never write reviews but I think this time it’s necessary .

Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was great and so quiet at night. The style of the place was fantastic. Our room was lovely and the bespoke toiletries they provided smelt wonderful. Such a lovely comfortable bed. We also had a wonderful private garden to sit in. A fantastic breakfast was served on the lovely roof terrace. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Simply stunning!

This was one of the most gorgeous hotels I've ever stayed in. It's small and intimate and feels like a true luxurious experience, right in the center of Athens. The location is convenient and safe, the staff are incredibly helpful and kind, and every detail is carefully considered. I can't wait to return!

To say that Shila is an amazing hotel does not feel like enough. It is full of the warmth, authenticity, and comfort you feel when visiting a friend after a long time. The aesthetics and hospitality are unmatched in Athens. It’s decor and amenities encourage you to enjoy each moment with total relaxation and intentionality. The staff are mindful and kind and truly anticipate your needs — it is a true feeling of luxury. Stay as long as you can.

Excellent vegan friendly place to stay

A real delight: The most incredible staff and a beautiful room. We’re a well travelled couple in our 50’s and we’ve never experienced staff as wonderful as this. Nothing is too much trouble and they exude warmth and charm all the time. We had 5 nights here in April 2024 and stayed in a room called Romantic Dust. The room was beautiful and very instagrammable if that’s your bag! It lacked a bit of storage and practically for a 6 day stay but the bath tub was lovely, breakfast in our garden room was a real treat, the floating bed was comfortable & great relax on after a busy day exploring. The staff make it what it is though. You won’t find better.
