"From the moment we arrived in this charming town and saw the facade of the Hotel Appenzell, I felt as if I had truly arrived in Switzerland. We only stayed for one night but it was a delightful place to stay. Our room was large with Old World Charm. We ate dinner in their dining room and it was very good. Breakfast was also good and before we left we went to their bakery area and they made sandwiches for us to take with us to eat on our train trip. We took a great hike up above Appenzell where we had great views of the whole area. We would definitely recommend a stay here!"

"這家旅館是我們的旅行團（Rick Steve's）預訂的。我不明白它怎麼能評到4.5顆星。飯店沒有空調，這在八月真的很糟糕，但在歐洲大部分地區，尤其是在舊城區，這很常見。但是沒有風扇真是太荒唐了。我是說，我知道瑞士人是出了名的摳門，但是一台風扇最多也就50美元吧？教堂的鐘聲是我們到這裡以來第一次響起，聲音很大，但是不管有沒有教堂的鐘聲，我今晚都睡不著了，在四樓（按美國標準是五樓），85華氏度（約29攝氏度），沒有風。我坐在這裡什麼也沒做，汗流浹背。我甚至洗了個冷水澡，大概有30分鐘的緩解時間。我希望老闆看到這些評論，能放下架子買幾台風扇！如果我有風扇的話，我可能會給四顆星。這是第二天早上。雖然半夜還在冒汗，但我還是睡著了，直到早上6點教堂的鐘聲把我吵醒才醒。所以，我晚上睡得比預想的還要好。我還是覺得他們不買風扇真是太摳門了，不過我們聽說他們總是客滿，所以沒必要讓顧客更舒服。"
