This is a very cute hotel right in the heart of Chania. Room is like a redone apartment from 100 years ago. Character and charm off the charts with the old sink and cooking area with exposed and plastered stone walls. The bath is totally current, granite, glass shower, rainforest shower. I would recommend these rooms vs. the ones with views, much more character. You can go top to the roof if you want a view! Although the room is above the busy shopping area the quality windows and shutters close out all light and noise. Both of the young men that were at the front desk were kind and helpful with beach and restaurant recommendations. Five stars, wish I had their names.
Breakfast was at a sister hotel a few doors away and very nice for a hotel of this size.
Public/Street parking is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel as it is located in a pedestrian area and that is about as close as you can get in a car. We were able to find a spot both times we needed one. I would opt for the extra car insurance so you don't have to worry about it although we had no problems.
There are many shops and restaurants/tavernas in the area of course. I would recommend the Greek food, we had some pizza that was a little sketchy!
I would recommend this or other hotels in the Elia Group. Attention to detail, excellent staff and good value!
