A peaceful, romantic retreat in this stunningly large, 1850's remodeled barn apartment. The barn is nestled into hundrends of acres of Nature Conservency. Many old maple and pine trees, hiking trails and breathtaking views will welcome you along the the drive here. *The West river trail and Black Mt. hiking trail is half a mile down the road where you can walk or bike along river which takes you to the Marina in Brattleboro. A peaceful retreat to rest and explore. *Mount Snow is 35 minutes away. Okemo, Stratton, Bromley and Magic is 1 hour away and Stratton is 1 hour away. *If you have little ones!! Living Memorial park in West Brattleboro is a great place to take them skiing/snowboarding, skating or sledding, check out their website for hours and more @ brattski .org*Strong Wi-fi, no TV*The bed has lovely linens and two types of pillows. It's been highly praised for its comfort by many guests. *The barn is a shared space, it contains multiple apartments. Three Airbnbs, one long term tenant and another unit our family uses. Everyone that lives here is quiet and respectful and we request the same of our guests.*We provide Yogurt, Local Granola and local coffee and an assortment of tea.*The kitchen has oil for cooking, salt/pepper and some spices. With 2 full beds in 2 bedrooms, guests can relax in comfort. Soak in the bathtub, enjoy eclectic decorating with antiques, AC, WiFi, TVs. Work or play - ski, kayak, swim, shop, antique, go to the theater - from your private apartment in the Village of Jacksonville.We strongly advise that you have snow tires when you visit the area in the late fall, winter, and early spring time and bring appropriate winter boots, coats, sweaters, hats, and mittens. We shovel paths through the snow to the door to the apartment, however, snow accumulates throughout the season and storms are frequent. Our driveway is cleared of deep snow, however, it typically has a layer of snow on it throughout the season.
