The maintenance of the hotel was good. Rooms was clean. The food and restaurant was very good, Breakfast spread was huge with 03 live counters. Thanks to the Chef for the tasty food which is served. Cheers! will come back with Families.
It was our second visit with a gap of around a decade. Not much has changed. In fact, lots have improved. They are keeping face with time and trying to keep the old amenities up to speed. The standard of care is still maintained to very high level. Though a bit remote, they have vehicles available for dropping you at the main entrance gate or even to the main road. You can also drive to their nearby facility, which is Taj village. We can take a tour of the whole place and tour points as well. Sunset point and Bay point both free of cost.😊. Breakfast was super and almost one attendant per guest. Also, the restaurant staff were extremely helpful, even for things beyond Restaurant, like going out and seeing places I remember meeting Mr. Rohit in one of the restaurants, and he was so helpful. I would also recommend Mr. Nagesh miss Princy and Mr. Sunil in fact, all of them were very helpful. I would certainly revisit the hotel whenever we come to Goa again .
This part 1 of our review, we will review again at the end of our stay. We are 2 weeks into an 8 week stay and we can honestly say we have never been somewhere where the staff are so attentive and helpful, and we have stayed in hotels throughout the world. Mainly 4 or 5 star too. The hotel is situated about 150 meters down a well lit if very uneven, lane off the main Fort Aguerdo Road. Being honest, the only downside is some refurbishment is needed. Mainly the pool area and bedrooms. Although a program of refurbishing the rooms is ongoing a room at a time at the moment. The hotel is clean and tidy. The rooms are a good size with plenty of storage. The water pressure is excellent with a big rain shower head in the shower and never had a shortage of hot water yet. Bathroom is equipped with a good hairdryer. There’s a kettle in the room with tea and coffee. The room has plenty of sockets that all accept the British 3 pin plug. The bed and pillows are so comfortable with decent bed linen. Balconies are a good size with a table and 2 chairs on with a fan and clothes rail. Breakfast has a wide choice which is mainly geared around an Indian breakfast but there are some western breakfast choices. Omelettes and eggs done any way you want, cereal, toast, pastries which are all baked in house there’s fruit juice, tea and coffee too. You can have bacon on request too. We have eaten in the hotel restaurant 3 times already. We have had the hotel dinner buffet twice and eaten off the A’la carte menu once. Each time it has been absolutely gorgeous. There were things on the buffet that we had never heard of but when we tried them found them to be delicious. One of the buffet choices was fish, which I can’t eat, so the chef offered, and made me a chicken biryani which was delicious. Our thanks to Head Chef Prasenjit and his team for the fantastic tasty creations. And thanks to hard working restaurant manager Mahesh, especially for his guidance over menu selections and offering alternatives, and his hard working team. The front office team led by Deepesh are always very helpful and polite. A special thanks to Ram who takes great care of us around the pool A very special thanks to the Resort Manager Ambarish for taking great care of us and in particular his help with my birthday celebration. It was most appreciated. We already think we will be making a return to this hotel next year.
