Esperienza pessima ! Mi hanno fatto pagare la camera in anticipo come garanzia, 750€, la mattina seguente me li hanno fatti ripagare, ancora non rimborsati sul mio conto i soldi della prima notte lasciati come garanzia. Mentre stavo andando in aereoporto mi hanno addebitato 40€ di Minibar dopo che li avevo già saldati la mattina (con ricevuta che lo prova), non ho ancora ricevuto un rimborso neanche di quello è neanche l’autorizzazione a scalarmi i soldi dopo aver lasciato l’hotel. Ho speso per due acque e delle noccioline in camera 80€ in totale. Non andare assolutamente, persone poco serie !

I will start with the positive. The common areas are very beautiful. A lovely mixture of historic character and modern updates. I enjoyed the artwork and other decor. It is also in a great location. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants and easy to get to the museums. Also felt very safe. I rated it 2 stars because of the service. I was not what I would have expected from a luxury hotel. First, the hotel authorizes your credit card for $200 per night for incidentals. I, and other travelers checking in at the same time, all expressed confusion about this. Keeping a credit card on file for incidentals is standard. No issue there. This was new and made me feel like I was at a cheap spring break hotel where we were expected to wreak the room. Then, I asked to borrow an electricity converter and was told they would put a deposit on my credit card until it was returned. You have already authorized my card for $200 per night. How is that not enough?? And, do you really think I'm going to steal a converter?? I don't need it at home, and no one in Amsterdam needs it. there was also a very underwhelming attempt at celebration. Hotels love to help you celebrate. Scroll through TripAdvisor photos, and you will see cake, cookies, wine, and signs from hotels for birthdays, anniversaries, babymoons. It is a pretty inexpensive and easy way for them to make guests feel really special. We were celebrating a milestone, and as part of the hotel form, we were asked if we were celebrating. When we arrived, the staff member told us that they would like to offer us 2 free glasses of champagne to celebrate. Ok. My experience is that high-end hotels offer everyone champagne upon arrival. But, fine. We were told to go to the bar at our convenience and given two drink vouchers. We went to the bar and ordered one glass of champagne and one beer. When we presented the vouchers, the bartender told us that they didn't cover the champagne. I explained that the hotel offered us two glasses of champagne to celebrate a milestone. She then told me that it was only supposed to cover the CHEAPER bottle. She then had to escalate it to a manager. It was so embarrassing and put a huge damper on our celebration. What luxury hotel has to have a management coversation and make a guest feel horribly uncomfortable over a $30 bar bill??? After you offered us the glasses of champagne. Overall the staff seemed either unwilling or unable to help. We asked they about the process for tax free shopping. Americans don't pay taxes on certain items, but there is a process you must follow. We were told they had never heard of it and couldn't help. Google and a waitress at a local restaurant walked us through it. I spent the trip feeling very nickeled and dimed and that there was a true lack of customer service. I've stayed at two other hotels in Amsterdam. One was more expensive and one was less expensive than the Dylan. Both had much better and kinder service. My final information is to remind gues

Beautiful, small hotel with excellent service. I booked a very last minute trip to Amsterdam after my daughter’s wedding and wanted something centrally located, where I could walk to nearly everything. The Dylan was perfect for me and the staff made me feel so welcome and right at home. I was very sad to leave and would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Amsterdam.

The Dylan outperformed on every parameter. I will definitely return. PROS • Room, lobby and views were beautiful. Rainfall shower was excellent. Amenities by Aesop were high-end. Bed & bedding very comfortable. Lots of outlets for electronics. • Excellent (!) wifi. • Newspapers. For this long-time reader of old-fashioned newspapers, the daily International New York Times on the bar or in the lobby was a blessing. • Service was all-around excellent. Staff greeted me by name, asked politely and sincerely if there was anything I needed, made sure to ask if my meals and my stay had been satisfactory and offered me refreshments, an umbrella and help with my luggage. They treated not only me but also my guest with care and attention. Always smiles, always warmth. • OCCO restaurant was a winner. I did not get the chance to try Vinkeles, which I have heard is over the top amazing. But OCCO was outstanding too. Excellent food (breakfast and dinner); incredible wine list (no doubt shared with Vinkeles – good deal for the OCCO diner!); beautiful setting; impeccable and personal service. Each waiter assigned to my dinner table knew what I had ordered and the second waiter offered an excellent and affordable red wine by the glass to accompany my main course. Very welcome! CONS The only cons, if you want to call them that, I can think of are these: • Room is small for the money. Yes, it was luxurious. But for $600 a night plus the newly increased 12.5% city tax, it was not very spacious – just barely room for bed, desk, chair, second chair, table & minibar. Very tight quarters. But sufficient. • Value for money. I guess Amsterdam is just very expensive. But I’ve stayed in other hotels in the historic central district for less. It’s a matter of personal choice. I will definitely try to stay here again!

Top notch for top dollar. You truly pay for what you get. The staff was beyond helpful and service oriented. Always going out of their way to make our stay special. The hotel itself is special and quaint. The rooms are on the smaller side but you can always upgrade. I would recommend this hotel if you like a high end product. Loved THE DYLAN!

This hotel is delightful! Great rooms, clean, open, amenities are top notch. So comfortable. What made it one of the best hotel experiences I've had - was the staff. Everyone is so helpful. Ronald the Concierge took such great care of us...dinner reservations and much more. He saved our travel plans by arranging a driver for us to Frankfurt (as the trains last minute were not running due to a strike). He saved our trip! Cannot thank you enough Ronald OXOX! Philip our nightly Bartender made each day with a cocktail special to order as you want it. A warm smile and genuinely delightful person - he's the type of Bartender you want pouring your drinks ...but truthfully you'd rather sit and have a drink with him! Thank you everyone at the Dylan...from your Minnesota travelers!

The Dylan is a beautifully quaint 5 star hotel which feels more like a home than a hotel. We loved the history of the building and the way they have maintained the character of the interiors. The Head Concierge (I’m sorry I forget his name) is a true professional who knows how to make you feel like the most important person in the hotel. Truly enjoyed our visit and recommend for anyone visiting Amsterdam. The private boat tour is a must splurge. Beautiful boat (with extensive wine list) and knowledgeable guide who took us through the canals and shared so many interesting facts about the city, the architecture and its history.

The Dylan is quirky, charming and sophisticated, all at the same time. The location cannot be beat with close proximity to major museums and sights - we walked everywhere we needed to go. Of course, its enviable canal side setting is also wonderful. Finally, the service was prompt, warm and friendly throughout our stay. So…. after an overnight trip from the US, on a dark and wet winter’s morning, the Dylan’s cozy ‘living room’ with a warm fireplace was a great place to wait on our room. After a quick a few cappuccinos, our luxury double room was ready. We stayed in Room 21 which is a large and long attic room with several dormer windows. While the views are limited, the room itself was chic in muted tones, lots of beige and white. The room featured a sitting area, two TVs, a dining table with two chairs, an armoire and a king bed. The shower and toilet were in a separate room with two windows, while the sink was integrated into the main room in front of a large window. The shower offered a rain head and wand. Toiletries were from Aesop. Overall, the room worked well for us during our three night stay and we liked the somewhat eccentric setup. On that note, each room is going to be unique in this hotel as the property is quite old and a combination of buildings. Further, there are many steps and ups and downs, even on the same level. Anyone with impaired mobility would want to be sure the hotel is aware well in advance. One other thing to consider, the Dylan offers ‘duplex’ rooms with bathrooms and sleeping areas on different levels. Again, consider if this is the right setup for you. Of course, all of these unique characteristics are what give the Dylan it charm. During our stay, we had dinner twice at Brasserie OCCO and breakfast there every morning. The breakfasts were very nice with eggs made to order and a small but adequate buffet of pastries, yoghurt, cereals, and sides (bacon, mushrooms, cheese, cold cuts, etc.). Again, I would highlight the staff for their prompt and friendly service and the gentleman who kept the delicious cappuccinos coming. Dinner was quite wonderful on both occasions with the duck breast being a stand out (apparently it used to be a feature in the on premises two Michelin starred restaurant Vinkles). Don’t hesitate to ‘stay in’ one night, you will enjoy it. If I had one complaint about the Dylan, it was that our Room 21 lacked any practical space to hang bathrobes and wet towels. I think a few pegs on the wall could solve the problem while still fitting into the style of the room. Otherwise, we loved our stay and would happily return.

Such an amazing boutique hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel is very charming and well maintained. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nestled in an awesome location. The staff is very courteous, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend when in Amsterdam.
