阿波德飯店(Hotel Abode)

This hotel is in the pedestrian area cole to the Golden Temple. You are in the heart of the city. The room l got back in december 2023 had a window and natural light. The shower is separed from the toilet by a glass therefore the water does not go everywhere. It is important for me to be in a room where you feel confortable after exploring a city l was so pleased l extended my stay.

Visited in Jan 2024 with family . The rooms were spacious and clean with value for money. The location was great overlooking the golden temple with walkable distance. Plenty of shops nearby. The only issue was we got rooms on the 5th floor which was the top floor and during night it was very noisy I think they had machine / generater which was noisy till early morning . Rest experience was great.

Location - 10/10 Rooms - 8/10 (Premium Rooms) Food - 4/10 Parking - Not Available Staff - 8/10 Tariff - 8/10 We booked this hotel through Agoda at a much discounted price but our booking was cancelled despite providing Credit Card. Later when I checked, the prices had gone up and the rooms were shown as unavailable. When I contacted the property, the rooms were available and the tarriff was higher. Bottomline is - book online and pay upfront on the website to confirm booking. The location is the best part about this hotel. Its bang opposite jallianwala bagh and approx 400-500 mtrs from golden temple. Despite being in such a crowded area, the hotel rooms are surprisingly quiet. The bathrooms are clean and decently spaced. The hotel has no parking but there are plenty of parking spots nearby where you can park your vehicle safely. Its better to park your vehicle and use local e-rickshaws for roaming around as the lanes are very narrow and the frequent jams can give you a headache if you're driving. Use local transport. Its cheap and gets you everywhere. Our booking had breakfast included which was a mistake. The breakfast was very limited with very lazy staff who were in no mood to refill once the food ran out. I had to literally speak to the ***ager to get served. This became an everyday practice during our stay. You can totally skip having breakfast here and go out instead, the nearby restaurants open up pretty early and serve much better options at a lesser price. Non-veg food is not served here because the hotel is extremely close to har***dir sahib and you'll not get non veg options at other nearby options as well. There is a huge market surrounding this area which you can roam around and explore. The stay was comfortable and this hotel is a decent option for whenever you're planning to visit amritsar.

Location is hard to find in a busy congested street. Rooms are small & dingy with poor hygiene see this picture of the floor rug which has never been cleaned. TV NEVER works because no payment made by hotel to TATA sky TV. Hot water provided ONLY if you call the desk. They turn it on for a brief period. Staircases are cluttered with bedding floor polisher & garbage bins Facilities are 1-2 star at best The ONLY good part is proximity to The Golden Temple , Jalianwala Baag & Partition Museum Very Poor

We had good experience staying at Hotel Abode. Being at the heart of the city, the location of the hotel served us very well. This hotel is right next to Jalianwala Bagh and is in close proximity of Golden Temple. Though this close proximity may not serve well for those looking for calm space. A good 3-start property with a very supportive staff. And if you get to meet Mr. Shamsher, your bookings and stay can get a little better. Overall a good property at a very good location
