Fishing is great at near by lakes such as Fuller, Rollins and Spalding. Emerald Pools are a must visit, for hiking and swimming in the river. Ski resorts are just 30 min East on hwy 80. Tahoe is 60 minutes and Truckee is 35 minutes. Historic Colfax is also 15 minutes away on I80. Relax next to a cozy fire and read a book in this quiet home. We are located above the snow line. MUD AND SNOW TIRES WITH ALL WHEEL DRIVE OR 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES ARE OFTEN REQUIRED BY CHP AND CALTRANS ON I80. BETWEEN THANKSGIVING AND MEMORIAL DAY UNPREDICTABLE AMOUNTS OF SNOW MAKE IT CHALLENGING TO GET TO THIS PROPERTY AND ALSO UP THE STEEP DRIVEWAY WITHOUT CHAINS. We will work with the proper equipment to remove snow on the driveway prior to and during your stay as necessary.
