Very nice property on back waters…resort has water body in centre which is good to look at Good quality is good and service was good Rooms are good size but need renovation now as don’t seem like 5 star standard

The property location is great but if you want Taj experience then this is NOT the place for you. The services are poor. The rooms and property are dated and not clean. This is so unlike other Taj properties. The resturants had very limited spread and not a star rated quality food. Taj hotel need to do something to improve overall property quality or else they are going to loose it's brand value.

It was a beautiful drive to Taj Kumarakom with Mango loaded trees at roadside. Facility is well maintained and close to nature. Key highlights were Lotus pond, House boat, Kayaking, sun-set with high tea, Swimming pool (Red sandalwood tree) and more. Facility manager Priya was very helpful and made our stay comfortable.

The town of Kumarakom was a serene environment surrounded by lush green trees. Within the town you find this little piece of history called Baker's Heritage Bungalow which is owned by Taj . Taj Kumarakom has two restaurants of which I personally enjoyed the preset menu and especially the cream of mushroom soup, Dal Makhani ,the tender coconut soufflé and the newyork cheesecake topped blueberry sauce. The property had a huge lagoon within it, where you can do pedal boating, kayaking and feed the fishes and the turtles. there are rooms ranging from villas which have one bedroom overlooking the lagoon to small houses overlooking the pool and big proper villas overlooking a lotus lake and has private plunge pool’s .They have golf carts and cycles to commute around the property , they have a small hut which opens at 5:00 pm to serve hot and cold drinks and a variety of snacks , they also have a bunch of activities which is fun for the whole family. They also have a bunch of boating options like houseboats and shikara. Staffs are friendly and courteous. I want to mention about Vipin, Vinpugal, and tall guy in the restaurant(forgot the name).

Must go before u die! Excellent restuarents....even for vegetarian food. So much of infra for28 huts! Evening tea service isexcellent. Classic dances at dinner time were excellent. Excellent staff. Right at Jetty to take a day ride on Houseboat (in night they are just parked). Bird century next door but more birs inside the Taj.

Senthil taught my kids kite flying at tea and helped them feed turtles. The hotel grounds were the home of missionaries in colonial times and have been turned into a beautiful luxury resort. It’s an idyllic place. On the lagoon you can do boating, zip lining and kayaking.
