Well equipped self-catering room with nice view of city and sea in distance. Very helpful and friendly reception team. Nice, well kept pool area. Well situated for local Pingo Doce supermarket across the road and other local shops. 5 min walk to The *****, if that's your thing, but we preferred the old town or marina. Lovely long beach. The rep recommended the Uber app, which proved to be fantastic with taxis being super quick to arrive and inexpensive. We wouldn't recommend the historical day trip as most of the day was spent on the coach and not at the places you wanted to explore - car rental or local buses would be a better option. Would definitely recommend the hotel though and stay there again.

Amazed at how nice this place was after reading some not too good reviews. Our studio was immaculate and had everything we could need and more. Excellent location and great value for money, we've stayed in places and paid more than twice the cost of this accommodation and no where near as good. We'd definitely return and highly recommend. Don't be scared to book.

We stayed here for 3 nights late February 2024 in a City view studio. The entrance to the hotel is badly situated and really needs better signage or access to make it easier to carry cases to reception. Having said that it was bright and clean in the main hotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a good sized balcony with afternoon sun and you could see the sea in the distance ( Room 358 ). Although the room was clean the furniture/facilities were very dated. The bathroom needs to be refurbished along with the whole studio to be honest. The pool looked very inviting but the weather didn't encourage us to use it. I would imagine in the warmer months it would be lovely as there's plenty of space and sunbeds. Walking distance to Old Town is about 25 minutes and there are plenty of beaches in the area. If you're young at heart The ***** is about 5 minutes walk away but at this time of year it was mainly drinkers that were catered for rather than restaurants. As with most drinking areas they don't really start until about 11pm although there are places open all day with the usual touts trying to get you in. The Old Town is more of an eating area and is better for families. Fisherman Beach is huge and very clean heading east along the coast.

It all started so well … when I booked in on Sunday 19/11/2023. Room 164 was comfortable and clean with adequate facilities. Hotel pool was excellent. From then on - not so good. What the hotel management left out was the complete refurbishment planned. Monday through Saturday, hammering , buzz saws and masonry drills from nine in the morning to eleven at night in the rooms in my corridor. I have never been to a hotel where guests have been treated with such lack of courtesy. Yes, this works needs to be done, but should guests not be advised on arrival and offered alternative accommodation? Ironically, on checking in I got told I was expected to keep very quiet between midnight and 8 am. No doubt the builders needed their rest before tearing up floors etc. the next day. My plans for working on my laptop during the siesta hours went out the window. Even Apple’s finest noise cancelling headphones proved unequal to the task. On second or third day reception called to warn the hotel water would be off for the day. Fine, but when it came back on it was the colour of urine (see pics). Would you have risked showering in that? Sickening, and a horrible experience. If you go here you may enjoy the newer facilities, but can you rely on the management to reveal everything to you, and put your comfort as a priority? My experience says no. Cleaning staff were excellent. My happiest moment was leaving for the airport. Will I go back? Absolutely not. One to avoid.

The overall stay was okay and the location was perfect however I was shocked by the level of help that was offered when arriving and leaving the hotel I was alone with a 4 year old boy and had two cases to take alone. When leaving the hotel at 3am to get my transfer to the airport I checked out and was told to take the ramp where wheelchair users take as it was easier with my son and cases in which I did the flooring is filled and not suitable for this slope and the lightning was very poor. I was not offered any help even though he could see me struggling alone with my son. I had a bad fall on this slope with my son we both fell onto our backs with cases going flying. The staff did not come and help me at all and was very contradicting when I brought this to their attention saying cameras are not watched 24 hours and then to be told if I had knocked myself unconscious I would of been found and an ambulance would be called they also told me someone would of helped me if they wasn’t busy with other customers I can point this out I was the only one checking out at that time of the morning and no one else was about

Firstly I want to make sure you know I’m not rating this hotel as I didn’t stay in the hotel but one opposite but had a dealing with a member of staff there which for me represents the hotel. To explain in more detail I had a room overlooking the pool of this hotel and watched people from my hotel go over and use the pool facilities in this hotel , mainly old couples and groups of girls which comes clear the reason why as the pool attendant who clearly suffers from small man syndrome and thinks he is gods gift and thinks his job is in high authority when clearly and person can do it. After spending all week watching people going in myself and partner said we will go over as the pool where we was staying was poor so on our last day we decided to go over and as we stated to go in this little man came running over saying we can’t come in so we asked why and he said it’s for this hotel only. So we explained to him we have been watching all week him let girls and older couples in and his attitude instantly changed and started shouting it’s my pool and will let anybody I want in and you are not coming in and try to say they are to busy. He was arrogant and most definitely has an attitude problem so stay here if you please but be prepared to share the pool with people from the hotel opposite and arrogant staff and I get there are rules and I will respect rules but what I wont have is being victimised from some little arrogant member of staff there who represents the hotel. Can’t be one rule for some and other rules for others. For info as well it never went less then 24 spare beds which he said it was to busy to let us in and on one evening when it was closing 14 people walked out of that pool and into our hotel and only 8 into the pools own hotel. Just so you know what your dealing with in this hotel Enjoy

Hotel com boa relação qualidade-preço. Funcionários da receção extremamente simpáticos e prestáveis (Bruno e João Pedro). Necessita urgentemente de obras/remodelação na cozinha e WC pois o mobiliário está podre e tanto as cortinas (que deviam ser proibidas nos hotéis) como as banheiras são do século passado....

This hotel was the worst encounter I have ever had on a holiday! Me and my owner arrived at this hotel and on the second night of our stay the security man let us in at 2am and 10 minutes later was at our door in an extremely aggressive manner! My partner opened the door but tried to close it again as he seen this man’s behavior and believed it was unsafe, the man proceed to push the door back on top of us and threatened to ring the police and wanted us to check out as the we apparently had a noise complaint. The man began shouting and said that if he didn’t work here he would put my partner “to sleep”.Me and my partner are very respectful and aware of our surroundings and would know if we caused any noise be we are certain we did not. Following from this 2 nights after we receive a letter through our door stating that we would have the police called if there was another complaint, the letter also stated that they were keeping our 200€ deposit for this one noise complaint, In my opinion this was all a massive scam! coming from this I felt extremely anxious and unsafe by this man’s actions which forced us to leave the hotel and book into another hotel.
