I was not informed upon reserving my room that I would be charged a $30 ‘Room Holding Fee.’ Despite the fact that it was refundable, I was not informed ahead of time & no one could legitimately explain what that fee was for.
Additionally, upon parking in the hotel parking lot, I was not allowed to park my own car. Neither the parking attendants nor the manager could justify why I couldn’t park it myself. I didn’t feel comfortable with the attendants parking my car & keeping the key, especially since I had to leave personal & business related items in my car that I needed the next day for a trade show. The lot was not busy at the time my car was parked nor when I picked it up.
Finally, I specifically requested a room ‘AWAY FROM’ the elevator & Ice Machine & the front desk person gave me a room that was close to ‘BOTH’ of those areas. VERY DISAPPOINTING! Changing rooms at that point would have made me late for my meeting so I had to lump it and deal with the added noise of the hallway traffic by the elevator & ice machine dumping ice into buckets at all hours of the night.
