It’s unfortunate that I need to give this review but due to the room condition and lack of communication from the manager I will. The room I was given smelled of mildew and something else I couldn’t put my finger on. Being exhausted I figured it was coming from outside through the AC unit. Went to bed and woke up with a sore throat and headache. Finally at 3am I decided to pack up and leave since I had a long drive. I asked the front desk if there was a way to get reimbursed for the room since obviously there was a humidity problem and potential mold issue. I also shared that I discovered what the other smell was…two dirty diapers in the garbage under the desk. She shared that because I used ******* I probably wouldn’t get a refund, being an outside booking site. She said she would need the manager to follow up. The manager was supposed to be in at 8am and she would give my name and number to be contacted. Now more than 48 hours out and still not contacted, I assume they plan to do nothing about it. Fair enough. At least I got a few hours rest, but in the future, if I need a room in Alabaster, I think I’ll try the hotel next door.
