Se c’è un posto dove il cibo si gusta due volte, una per il sapore e una per il panorama, è proprio il ristorante del Jebel Shams Resort. Situato a pochi minuti dai principali sentieri panoramici, è il rifugio ideale per fermarsi a pranzare con vista sul canyon. La cucina è semplice, casalinga e molto omanita-friendly, ma con qualche proposta internazionale pensata per chi arriva fin quassù. Un menù a buffet che prevede grigliate di carne (pollo, agnello o pesce, con spezie locali), riso speziato con zafferano e cardamomo, zuppe tradizionali, come quella di lenticchie o di pollo, insalate fresche con verdure di stagione e pane caldo fatto in casa. Per chi vuole qualcosa di più internazionale ci sono anche: Pasta, hamburger, patatine fritte e pizza. È uno dei pochi posti in zona dove puoi trovare caffè omanita (qahwa) servito con datteri, una vera istituzione locale.

Viaggio di gruppo ANM 15 persone pronte a fare trekking e vedere il famoso balcony sul canion. Questa è la soluzione migliore , in auto vicino all'ingresso del canion. Inoltre buona accoglienza, ci sono dei bungalow in muratura ampi con piccolo soggiorno e bagno in camera . Non manca nulla . Colazione sufficiente e cena nel ristorante inserito nel centro di soggiorno ( fuori non cè nulla) Bella l'atmosfera la sera nella tenda attrezzata dove potrete fumare in compagnia il narghilè.. Prezzo nella media ... cè una piscina non utilizzata per il periodo (febbraio) fresco e per il poco tempo a disposizione.

This place has among the worst rooms you can find anywhere. Old furniture. No towels, you have to ask but there is no phone connecting to reception. Moldy and dirty bathroom without any amenities except minuscule soap and cheap tiny shampoo. Heating does not work so you get a small portable unit. Huge disappointment!

Fairly large hotel all set out in separate cabins. Our room was large and very comfortable. There was a bit of a smell in the bathroom. There is heating in the rooms but no extra blankets and it was very cold the night we were there. The breakfast was excellent.

Second stay very pleasant from all points of view: the welcome, the restaurant, the accommodations. All the staff are very professional and friendly. The renovation work is magnificent and the location remains unbeatable for all visitors, hikers or not. To discover or rediscover

Had an amazing stay at Jebel Shams! The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The food was seriously delicious—couldn't get enough! The facilities were top-notch, making it the perfect spot to unwind in the mountains. If you're looking for a mix of luxury and nature, this is the place!
