Staying here for 2 nights and 3 days was an incredible experience. I'm deeply grateful to David and Amanda for their exceptional work in preserving this unique haven. This lodge is truly one of the most breathtaking places I've had the pleasure of staying in, with its immaculately clean rooms, humble and kind owners, and serene atmosphere. The views of Akaroa Harbor and the surrounding mountains are simply stunning, and the peaceful sounds of nature create a sense of tranquility. It's a truly uplifting escape from the city, and a testament to the beauty of nature Really 10 out of 10 My family really love staying here definitely we will come back

Ultra Clean lodge, laid out well, bedroom clean and coffee etc in room Clean bed’s great wee shower, but of a scary drive up hill but all part of the adventure. Awesome shared kitchen and dining area out front of lodge surrounded by native bush land, wood pigeon everywhere

Words cannot describe how amazing and perfect Mt Vernon Lodge was to celebrate our special day. We planned our entire wedding from Australia and had never been to Mt Vernon or seen the property before. David & Amanda were fantastic and very helpful with any of my questions and really made everything super easy. If you are planning your wedding here, I definitely suggest you book two days or more we stayed for four nights. It was such a wonderful way to spend time and connect with all of our family & friends before & after the wedding and really made the wedding day itself very relaxed as we didn’t need to rush around trying to catch up to everyone. The function area is very large, clean, and well equipped with everything you need. There is also a lovely outside area. They also have great games for everyone to play after the ceremony and a great outdoor area in front of the lodge for drinks and canapes after the ceremony. All of our friends and family commented on how great their rooms were, super comfy beds, all were very modern and clean. The lodge area was a great meeting place for everyone, and we had a BBQ for all our family and friends the following day. This area had plenty of fridge space and a very well stocked kitchen you could cater for a lot of people. Also a beauty firepit for everyone to sit and talk on a cold night. I cannot thank you both enough for such an amazing day and helping us to create such beautiful memories with friends & family.
