Auf unserer 2-wöchigen Schottland-Rundreise mit dem Mietwagen haben wir insgesamt 11 Unterkünfte genutzt (1 Hotel, 4 Guesthouses und 6 B&B). Unterwegs waren wir zu Dritt mit dem erwachsenen Sohn, hatten also jeweils 1 Doppel und 1 Einzelzimmer. Dabei ist der allgemeine Eindruck in 2 Klassen aufzuteilen: Freundliche und kommunikative oder eher geschäftsmäßige Gastgeber. • Das hier ist wohl eine Mischung aus beidem Die Räume eher eng, aber gutes Frühstück. Die Hauptstrasse vor der Tür "liefert" ein beständiges "Hörerlebnis", die Müllabfuhr Sonntag morgen um 7:00 gibt einem den Rest. Parken von der Strasse weg hintenkim Hof: Gut

Gut erreichbar (unser Zielflughafen war Edinburgh) und großer Parkplatz hinter dem Haus. Netter Empfang, schönes und sauberes Zimmer (für manchen Gast könnte es zu klein sein - wir fanden es putzig). Unbedingt ausprobieren - das schottische Frühstück der Gastfamilie - wirklich sehr gut (aber auch mächtig). Insgesamt ein toller Startpunkt um schottische Gastfreundschaft kennenzulernen und für einen Tagesausflug nach Glasgow (einfach mit dem Zug direkt von Airdrie aus).

Charmant petit B&B Nous avons été très bien reçu. La chambre était propre ainsi que les sanitaires. La salle à manger avec son petit déjeuner local était bien Petit bémol l'isolation entre la chambre voisine ...

Lovely Guest House, Hosts super friendly and helpful. Area is very nice and it’s very convenient for Airdrie centre. Off street parking with cctv is always a bonus. The room was lovely and clean with everything you’d need, Bed super comfy Will definitely stay again

We had a nice stay at the Knights Rest. Rooms were cozy and well decorated. The breakfast was delicious. But the best part was the owner Suzanne! She was lovely and very helpful. The sign and driveway are easy to miss. But the off street parking was worth it. A great value!

Lovely Bed & Breakfast, very clean, toiletries, plenty towels, tea/coffee facilities, really comfy bed, excellent breakfast freshly made, was lovely and hot. Host was fab, couldn't do enough for us. Close to town centre, great stay, would definitely stay again

I had a great stay, the B&B was very comfortable and clean, the location is ideal, the breakfast was exceptional, the hosts were lovely. The off road parking with security lighting is good to know your vehicle is safe. Everything was perfect, I will definitely stay there again in the future.

We were having building work done at home and I needed somewhere to stay whilst the heavy work was being carried out. I have always believed in supporting local business and that is why I booked the Knights Rest.....its wonderful when your choice is vindicated!. The accommodation was first class, the hosting from Suzanne was excellent and the breakfast was tasty and hearty. I honestly can't recommend this establishment highly enough....go stay and be looked after.

Really friendly host in Suzanne with the room prepared to a good standard. Even though I’d made a booking for one instead of two she sorted this without any fuss. Breakfast was top drawer with good scrambled eggs for my wife and full Scottish for me. Off road parking was good. Nicely located near our friends.
