閣樓公寓飯店(La Loft Apartments)

No counter service for check in & check out, hotel key-keeper gave us contact and meet us in hobby by appoin**ent. Comfort living room with nice kitchen for family dining, AUD25 daily charges for 2/f carparking, good location & services.

Great location and excellent service given we flew in so late. Would definitely stay again

I would not recommend staying here. The bathroom was not clean. The bath and shower glass were covered with soap scum and there was mildew in parts of the grout. The toilet bowl was visibly mouldy and dirty below the top rim. The bathroom hand basin was cracking and worn out. The room had a spa bath, which was broken and unusable. The button to turn it on was stuck down and the jets were caked with limescale and green coppery looking deposits. The ventilation intake cover thing on the side of the bath where the workings of the spa are accessed was only partially attached/inserted and was manky and grimey around the edges. The furniture was worn out. The desk chair back was partially attached. One of the lamps in the bed head was missing the bulb, and both were missing the glass covers. The laminex/contact type covering on the bedside tables and other surfaces in the bedroom was starting to peel. The dishwasher and oven were both dirty and we had to clean the dishwasher before we could use it. The room was supplied with less than half a roll of toilet paper. There were two tiny bins and no spare bin bags -- for a rook with a kitchen the bin was not very adequate. There were no spare towels/blankets/pillows. There were no pillow cases on arrival, which was rectified, but the pillows were quite overdue for replacement, with one being yellowed and sweaty looking -- no pillow protectors are used. If the room was clean and well maintained with everything in working condition (especially the spa bath) I'd have been pleased as it is an otherwise nice room and building. However, for what we paid the condition of the room was unacceptable.

A comfortable apar**ent but there were signs that maintenance isn’t a priority.

Great location. Needed a few basic cleaning things. Such as a dishcloth and a kitchen plug. And clearer instructions on the washing machine. Otherwise a good place to stay.

The La Loft Apar**ents, at least for the North Terrace ones, are really just some rooms of the Oaks Embassy and Oaks Horizon apar**ent buildings. The front desk will not do anything to help, as they have nothing to do with the la loft apar**ents. Upon check-in, you'll have to meet with a manager in the lobby, who will show you to the room and give you the two keys. For my check-in in particular, he apologised and said he only had 1 key and would drop the other off the next day, which was fine really. As he was showing me the room I think he may have been telling me some important information, but I was not paying attention at all, because I was completely focused and disappointed on how terrible the room was compared to the images advertised online, which I believe may have been for a different type of room. After I was checked in, I went and got my partner who was waiting on the street and we brought all of our things in to the apar**ent, after which we realised that there were more issues with the accommodation other than the aesthetics. There was melted chocolate on the couch (no image), the couch itself was rock hard, general uncleanliness despite supposed enhanced cleaning services, all the cutlery in drawers were dirty, there were no tea towels in the kitchen, no basic cooking amenities like salt, oil, pepper, very limited teas and coffees, the cookware was extremely limited and pan was probably ready for the bin (surprisingly looks much better in the image), no spare rubbish bags, only 1 set of towels (we had to use the face washers in place of tea towels for drying dishes and benches), mouldy walls in bathroom. There really is a lot to list, and it may seem like nit-picking, but for a supposed 4 star accommodation that cost nearly $1,300 for 5 days, I think anybody would expect more than this. After we had noticed all these things we were obviously quite disappointed, but we were hoping to make the best of it, as we did have a spa in our executive suite. I messaged Simon, the manager, and told him about the towels and there only being 3 dishwashing tablets, asked if some could be brought the next day, he said it was fine and he'd bring more the next day. Next day comes and he drops off the key and is gone. Nothing else. He said cleaners would come with the things later, but unfortunately they did not, not for the entire stay. So we were left with hand washing dishes with 1/4 of a scourer pad (apparently they needed to cut it down to size?) and drying with face washers. Unfortunately the 3 dish washing tablets only lasted a day, as there were only 3 plates and bowls, so it was used being basically empty. Speaking of terrible equipment, there is a washing machine and dryer. I believe everything has a very poor energy rating, at least the dryer still had its label on, 1-star energy rating. You'd think that being so inefficient it would dry quickly, but no, it took 7 hours to dry a single load of washing, which was nearly 3 full cycles,

Unfortunately the shower wasn’t cleaned properly and the kitchen stove/light/fan was greasy. The bin hadn’t been cleaned (under the liner) and the room had marks on the walls etc. wifi was also not available for this stay. the location is good, with coffee shop below and walking distance to everything.

It is a good experience in living here. The view is so good. The location is good, near to city but not too near, so it is not too noise. The room is wonderful, and quite clean. There are fridge, microwave, oven and even washing dash machine in the kitchen. The toilet is good and also has a washing machine for clothing. The staff is good and helpful, though they are not in the hotel. If you need their service, you need to call them.

Well appointed and spacious apar**ent. Kevin the Manager was very helpful to deal with. Recommended highly.
