Nos alojamos aquí el primer día de nuestra estancia en Etiopía, pues era uno de los que nos ofrecía la agencia con la que viajamos. Está en una calle lateral de la avenida que va hacia el aeropuerto, con restaurantes, tiendas, centros comerciales y parques en un radio de 15-20 minutos andando. La habitación que nos dieron muy espaciosa y limpia, y en bastante buenas condiciones. No parecía que hubiera ni calefacción ni aire acondiciona, pero es que tampoco lo comprobamos, pues no nos hizo falta ni lo uno ni lo otro. En el cuarto de baño había productos para la ducha y secador de pelo, y unas zapatillas de habitación que nos vinieron estupendamente, pues las utilizamos en todos los alojamientos posteriores. El desayuno fue tanto comida etíope como occidental, en plan buffet: zumos de frutas variados, bizcochos y madalenas variados, pan para tostar, cereales, mantequilla, mermelada, queso, fruta fresca, algo parecido al jamón york, té, café, leche, firir de arroz, champiñones con pimientos, una especie de bolas de arroz con huevo, verduras parecidas a las espinacas, y porridge.

OMG. What a dump! Ethiopian airline brought me to Addis 2 hours late and I just missed the connection. Next flight to my destination tomorrow morning. As their own new hotel was full, they gave me a voucher for Ambassador hotel. When I arrived where the shuttles are, the Ambassador bus had just left. After waiting, unsuccessfully ,for half an hour for its return, I decided to walk to the hotel. When I arrived, I was told that the hotel was fully booked out and that was communicated to Ethiopian Airlines the previous day. After some discussion, they gave me a room and I was set back 20-30 years. While the room was spacious, everything, including the bathroom, was completely run down. The shower head fell down by looking at it, out of 3 light switches one worked etc. I didn’t have the energy to return to the airport and ask for a different hotel. When I went for dinner, included, I was presented the choice of beef with rice or fish with rice. I assessed the fish as the smaller risk. However, there is no wine or beer. Just water. It’s a non alcoholic hotel.
