A warm welcome. There was a plumbing problem with the room we had booked, so we were relocated to one on a higher floor, but still with a sea view. It was worth struggling up the extra 2 flights of stairs as we were given use of a lounge - and even a kitchen if needed. The breakfast was excellent and we would certainly stay again if we visit Aberystwyth

Fantastic place to stay, right on the sea front and close the shops, pubs and restaurants A great size room overlooking the bay and everything was spotlessly clean. Our host, Alison, was really helpful and we had a very good breakfast too! All in all a perfect stay.

Wonderful accommodation, ideal location, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, huge bathroom complete with toiletries, delicious breakfast, very friendly host. What more could you ask for - it was perfect! Would highly recommend this gem

Stayed here on Thursday eve, excellent location right on the front and would recommend paying the few pounds extra for a sea view, didn’t disappoint. Room was clean, very comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely and owner pleasant and helpful, would recommend.

Lovely B&B on the seafront in Aberystwyth. Walked here from the station after a trip on the Cambrian Line from Pwllheli. Took about 10 minutes. Warm room. Comfortable bed. Lovely view from the bay window. Worth paying extra for the view so you can sit in window and people watch

A great place to stay, clean warm ( rather small) room and lovely breakfast. Very convenient for the town centre. Bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom. Tea and coffe making facilities in the room.

The Helmsman is a traditional seaside guesthouse, in a great location with sea view rooms that have proper uninterrupted sea views, and comfy chairs in the bay windows in order to enjoy it. Immaculately clean and well presented. Efficient and friendly. Our second stay, no doubt we’ll be back.
