Whenever Mercure takes over a property, one can always be assured of transformation for the better. This is not the first Mercure “revamped” resort in Thailand I had been to. This spot was once a locally run beachfront resort called Lom Talay. Translated it means sea breeze. Everything here has now been entirely renovated, reconstructed and enhanced to a level that you never know it was once the site of a tried resort that had seen better days. The pool had been re-cladded, beautified and now features jacuzzi sections. The landscaping completely redone. The accommodations are now ultra-modern, you can find so many USB charging ports in your room you can combine them to charge your Tesla. They have in total just over 50 rooms, so this resort still retains solitude vibes for one that seeks a quieter seaside retreat. According to what’s known, there is a second phase coming, expanding the resort with another hundred plus rooms, more restaurants and facilities. How the vibes will be then, remains to be seen. This be a small resort of sorts for now. On popular weekends, parking will have to be 2000 miles away as the front porch will be already full of parked cars. Not to worry, a golf cart is available to ferry guest so that you won’t have to bake in the inferno climate of Thailand. The pool will be mostly empty in the day even when the resort is at full occupancy. This is because Thais only come out in the gentle hours approaching sunset. They don’t like to grill in the sun like foreigners to become red lobsters. That said, there were mostly locals when we were here, I will say only 15% were of overseas origin. The beach is very well maintained, no rubbish strewn around like the resorts further west. The gradient is gentle and reveals critters during the low tide. Dig in the light brown sand a little and plenty of clams can be found. The waves were gentle in March, the clarity of the sea was the I can see my ugly toe-nails in knee deep water type. Not much of a bustle which I like. Occasionally, cheapo jet skis (more of like a jet ski body with an outboard) whizzed by the beach to decapitate unsuspecting guest in the water. Mercure is situated alongside the main road, and just next door is a public beach that separates the resort from a row of rustic seafood restaurants. They don’t’ seem to have changed much over the decades. Live seafood in tanks, and to be guaranteed a good restaurant, just watch out for which has a crowd. The alternative for dining will be in the resort’s lone restaurant in a much trendier setting watching the sunset. This is where breakfast will be served too. On the weekend we were here, there was a seafood BBQ buffet going on. There is a bar on the side of the building for that light after dinner beer chatting deep into the salty night. Breakfast is buffet styled with a good spread of food for a small resort. It was no disappointment. The restaurant had plenty of space to sit all the guests even during the popular hours. T

乾淨,漂亮,極好的牀上用品在永市中心非常容易連接您在泰國東部地區的旅行,我也會推薦這家酒店,因爲價格便宜,提供早餐,所以非常值得銷售人員。

Stayed at Avatara Resort Hotel from 8 to 10 December 2021. We booked a Triple Room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Layout of the bathroom was awesome with full view of the jungle. Location is not bad just a walking distance to the Sai Kaew beach which was lively and vibrant at night, with many restaurants nearby. Unfortunately this multistory building has no lift or escalators and a long walk from the lobby and beach. Our room was on the 5th floor and climbing up those many stairs is a big problem especially for those with disabilities or older age. Path and corridors along the building are poorly lit. Breakfast by the beach is very popular with guests but service is poor. On our second day, my son found out that the fresh cold milk he had with cornflakes has gone bad. Brought to the attention of the staff who was quite reluctant and no apologies, Restaurant staff should have pay more attention to the quality of food served. Poor and unfriendly staff; no smile, no greetings and treated guests as if we are a liability to them. The staff was busy playing with their mobile phones and chatting with their colleagues rather than paying attention to the hotel guests. We need to approach them every time we needed to order and foods service are poor. Serviette and tissue paper are not provided with the food, have to asked for them.

Nice stay. Close to everything. The main disadvantage is that at night you can hear a lot of bar noises but not every day. Great design, but you must close all windows not to be seen.

一家中規中矩，幾乎找不出毛病的五星級酒店。記得一定要訂高層豪華海景房，風景太讚了！週六的自助晚餐和每天的自助早餐都有很好的出品。尤其是週六自助晚餐的那道紅燒肉，味道值回票價，如果能把瘦肉部分再燉軟爛一些，就更讚了。

My wife and I stayed here with our 8 yr old son as a stop over on our way from Bangkok airport to Koh Chang. Just over 2 hours in a taxi from airport, then another 2 hours onto Ao Thammachat pier so if anyone is travelling to Koh Chang and don't want to travel in one go then this is ideal to break up the journey. Location is fairly remote but there is more than enough around you, eating, shops etc. Pools are amazing and the beach is superb 👌 Breakfast is excellent, everything you wld expect from a typical Thai resort (rice, noodles, curry, fruit, pastries etc). Staff were very friendly, we only had a double bed so staff brought a mattress for my son to sleep on, free of charge 🙂 This is a very clean resort and not sure how old it is but definitely has a feeling of being new. The garden area near pool are really nice and well maintained. I can't fault this resort in any way. This really is a hidden gem, what an excellent hotel. If we travel to Koh Chang again (which we will as its an excellent Island) we would definitely stay over at this resort, but next time would stay longer. It is important to add that I don't often leave reviews but this hotel deserves it 👏 Thanks you

Nice staff but severly disappointed about the ”out of order” sign on both treadmills in this 5-star hotel. As I prepare for a marathon running tredmills were essential and thus booked hotels on the trip with good fitness rooms, but no, both machines broken at the Aksorn. At the same time. - Het is een mooi hotel, maar je merkt dat er zoals in de meeste hotels in Thailand het algemeen onderhoud wel wat zijn wensen te overlaat. - Het personeel verstaat en spreekt bijna geen Engels. - De ligging van het hotel is prima. - Het ontbijt is vooraan in de bakkerij/café: in het weekend is het buffet en in de week kan je kiezen uit 3 kleine menu’s. - Het is er een rustige en kleine buurt, we verbleven er 3 nachten, dit was voor ons zeker voldoende.

CentaraQ คือที่ๆ ครอบครัวจะเลือกเป็นอันดับแรก เมื่อคิดจะพักผ่อนข่วงสั้นๆ (หาอาหารทะเลรับประทาน😃) สัก 3-4 คืน...เหตุผลเพราะไม่ไกลจากกทม. มีหาดส่วนตัว (มีเก้าอีผ้าใบ/ชิงช้าให้นั่งเล่น และเป็นพร็อถ่ายรูป)..รร.มีบรรยากาศที่ดีใช้ได้...มีต้นไม้ดอกไม้ให้สดขื่น...มี fitness ให้ออกกำลังกาย....อาหารเช้าก้อหลากหลาย รสชาติก้อโอเค...มีสปาด้วยนะ วิวห้องพักก้อดีค่ะ...ชมทะเลได้เลย👍 พนง ก้อมีความสุภาพ เป็นมิตร และบริการเป็นอย่างดี **เราก้อพยายามอยากให้ทางรร. จัดโปรบ่อยๆ เรากับครอบครัวจะได้เที่ยวได้บ่อยแบบสบายกระเป๋า (แอบส่วนตัวละ😊)

這個飯店位於一個海角，幾乎是三面環海。 但是即便是直接連著沙灘，海浪聲也完全沒有對睡眠造成任何影響，可能是他們的玻璃非常隔音吧。 飯店擁有一個很大的花園和心形的泳池，這都讓喜歡悠閒度假的我流連忘返。 要不是下一程已經預定了，真想多住幾天。 房間很新，裝修不太豪華，但是非常舒適，性價比是很高的。 服務員都非常有禮貌，見到都會主動熱情招呼。 期望還有機會再來。

無論是從品質還是員工的工作方式來看，這都是一家很糟糕的飯店！我們訂了兩間海景房，但只訂了一間，因為「顧客很多，房間都訂滿了」。非常糟糕的藉口。抵達時房間聞起來很難聞，風格平庸，冰箱很小。 Agoda 頁面上的圖片是假的，與現實不符。 （上次借助仲介公司agoda，聯絡他們從來不回覆！）PIMPIMARN BEACH HOTEL 不推薦！

ห้องพักดี เดินทางง่าย เราพักที่นี่เพราะเตรียมเดินทางไปเกาะมันนอก ซึ่งที่พักอยู่ใกล้ ขับรถไปแป้บเดียวถึง และที่พักก็ใกล้แหลมแม่พิมพ์ ห้องพักสะอาด มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบ ราคาโอเค อาหารเช้าโอเค พนักงานบริการดี แนะนำค่ะ
