For general information - The resort is famous as an onsen (2!) destination, with an attached convention center. All the spacious rooms overlook the ocean, golf course and pine forests. There are tons of restaurants with many different cuisines to choose from. The amenities are very well maintained, the wifi is fast and stable, and housekeeping service is provided with courtesy and quality. We have fallen in love with the hotel and the quality of services. This was our second visit to this beautiful resort - and our return trip is already planned. We were very warmly welcomed as Marriott Elite members with personal attentive care. Upon arrival we were immediately taken up to the Executive Lounge for check-in, and were able to relax and enjoy a beverage & snacks during the process. After check-in, Mr. Kawabata of the Executive Lounge personally escorted us to our upgraded suite and provided an overview of the various details to ensure a comfortable stay. The highlight of our visits was the Executive Lounge. The Lounge provides options for breakfast, afternoon tea service and snacks, and a wonderful cocktail hour selection of food and top-shelf drinks, including champagne! The Lounge is spacious, with plenty of seating areas and wonderful ocean views. While the Lounge itself is delightful, it is the Lounge staff who are the true stars! As mentioned, Mr. Kawabata went above-and-beyond to ensure that our stay exceeded our expectations. The entire staff in the Lounge are extraordinarily attentive and happily anticipated our requests with superb service. We have provided our feedback accordingly to hotel management. As a final note, breakfast in the Pine Terrace is an extensive buffet of western and Japanese choices, including a personalized egg station. Breakfast is also available in the Lounge where we also enjoyed the same level of service and the expansive views.

When my taxi pulled up, I was greeted with a warm smile. My luggage was taken for me and I was taken to the Club Lounge on 36th floor where I did the check-in. Sitting down - very civilised. Unfortunately, I don’t speak any Japanese and the gentleman who checked me in didn’t speak any English. However, I got the gist of what he was saying - when was breakfast, the happy hour, where things were. Despite my lack of Japanese I was always made to feel very welcome everywhere but as one of the previous reviewers said, it was a little surprising very few people spoke English. That and the rather pricy restaurants are the only reasons for deducting a star. Breakfast in the lounge was good. They bring a plate over with sausage, bacon and eggs (you can choose scrambled or fried) and the rest is all buffet. Happy Hour is brilliant! They have 2 sittings a 5-6.15pm one or 6.45-8pm one. Good idea - that way they accommodate everyone comfortably. The hor d’ouvres are great!!! You are presented with a mini menu of the six items you will be served. There were some delicious items which included some quality ingredients such as fois gras and caviar. Of course, these were not on the menu every night and they were quite small as they are only hor d’ouvres. Nevertheless, it was still most impressive. Top Tip: if you don’t want to spend a fortune on your meals, there is a stand that does some hearty lunches for ¥500-¥1000 as you walk round to the pools. It is only there at lunchtime and if you don’t have cash on you, don’t worry you can charge it to your room. The food is not the high end stuff you get in the restaurants but it was still really tasty and super value for money!
