Called in as we'd always wanted to try this pub Mmm We were the only ones in which was strange There was a musty smell but we decided to try anyway We ordered our meal Steak n ale pie was average nothing special for the price Must say the singing chef was annoying I've no objections for people being happy in there work but the loud singing from the kitchen was relentless Maybe he should think if Customers want to hear that ! Wouldn't return..lacks atmosphere and warmth sorry

I thought I had booked room with view over the lake but didn't get it. Didn't really matter, as a very warm week so was quite good we were in a room at the back. On arrival we were greeted with a bottle of bubbles,as it was our anniversary, lovely surprise... New management been in since November and seem to making strides, tho as we were there out of peak season the bar had early closing. Due to the location,you have to drive there as on a busy road, very few passing customers at this time of year.. Hopefully it will pick up . Road noise was a little off putting but on the whole we had a comfortable time. Would also have liked more of a choice for breakfast but what we did have was delicious and very freshly cooked. As was all the food we ate. Perfect location for Snake pass and Winnats pass .. the walk around Ladybower is fabulous...

Lovely Sunday roast. Great people. Good location. Good parking. I had the mixed meat roast. Very generous. New owners are lovely. Wife said great veggie roast and the kids enjoyed the sausages and chips. Warm, clean, nicely decorated and attentive staff.

Called in after walking round res it was a little busy but not totally full got seated straight away. The young girl waitressing seemed run off her feet and unsure about a few things we ordered drinks and food, took about half an hour for drinks to come with no apology. We then asked where our food was and was asked what it was we had ordered? She didn’t come back with an apology or to tell us how long it would be, we ordered 2 sandwiches. It took over an hour in the end for the food to come! We then asked for the bill and they had the audacity to add a service charge on the bill! We asked if they could knock the price off the drinks off as we had been there an hour and 45 mins at this point to have 1 drink and a sandwich, the manager came up and said he was unable to knock them off but would offer us a free drink? When questioned well if are going to give us a free drink why can’t you just not charge us for the ones we had (we didn’t want another drink after being there all that time already) he said the till wouldn’t allow him to and it was against Company policy! What a load of tosh. He also told us it was their first day opening and they were understaffed. They should have made us aware at the beginning if things were running slowly when we were sweated in the first place and be more apologetic that they have created a poor customer service, won’t be returning!

Called on Monday afternoon (16:45) for a drink after our bicycle ride; pub was closed - no explanation, no sign on the door, nothing on the website, which gives opening times as 11:00-22:00 Monday-Thursday. Tried contacting them on social media; message has not even been read.
