We had booked a room for three adult people. When we got there, there was only one prepared bed with only one duvet! We talked to a woman in the reception, and it is by far the worst hotel service we have ever experienced! At this point it was almost midnight and the response we got was that she did not know where the bedding and sheets were kept. She had us follow her and after a while she found only one duvet and one sheet for this duvet. She handed it to us like so, not prepared, and when asked she said to us: “Does it look like I do that type of work here?”. After this we went back to the reception as this was completely unacceptable treatment from a receptionist at a well known hotel chain. She was not solution oriented AT ALL. She told us there were not any other available rooms. She never apologized. She would not give her full name , and said that she was quitting her job here. She told us she hade never been in this type of situation before. She told us she had no one to ask for help and that the people who work here during the day, and who would know where the bedding we needed were, were not here at this time of the day. She told us she was not hiding the bedding from us, that she sincerely did not know where it was. We did not get the room prepared as we had booked it. She even asked us what WE (!!) thought she should do. She said that the only option she saw was to give us back our money and that we could leave the hotel, at 00:30 at night (!!!!). Outrageous!!! We were all so dumbfounded and shocked by this completely unacceptable way of treating your clients that we absolutely considered to pack up and leave. After some time of talking and being dumbfounded by this TERRIBLE service she suddenly said the she could separate us and give us one more room. We accepted this and that was it. We are going to take action after this and call the director of the hotel and tell him about this experience. This is the absolute worst service experience we have ever experienced. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! And SHOCKING as this is a known hotel chain with great reviews! I am still lost for words, as I also was after talking to that terrible employee with no service skills to say the least.

Hotel Omega is een prima hotel, ruime en schone kamers. Eigen schone badkamer met douche, wastafel en toilet. Kamers worden dagelijks schoongemaakt. Ontbijtbuffet is op de 4e verdieping met uitzicht op het kasteel en een van de kerken. Het ontbijt is goed en wordt steeds aangevuld. Het personeel is heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Enige nadeel is dat er bij de receptie geen Engels wordt gesproken en een klein beetje Duits. In Brno is het lastig parkeren, daarom heb ik een parkeerplaats gereserveerd in de (kleine) parkeergarage van het hotel. Op 200 meter (in een andere straat) is een tramhalte. Met de tram en de bus kun je je goed verplaatsen. Op het hoofdstation heb ik een 5 dagenkaart voor de tram en bus gekocht voor 250 Kronen. ( ongeveer 10 euro). De wifi-verbinding is erg goed. Enige nadeel is dat de bar en het restaurant niet elke avond open zijn. Daarom heb ik er voor gekozen om in de stad te eten. Een biertje drinken kun je als de bar dicht is ook in de pivaro bij de tramhalte.
