It’s off the main Big Cottonwood Canyon road. Our cabin is situated up-canyon from the Guardsman Pass road; in the summer months this provides direct access over the Wasatch ridge to the Park City & Deer Valley! There is plenty to do from our doorstep without ever getting in your car: Biking, hiking, explore Silver Lake Nature area, and of course skiing in the winter months! Main Level: *Master bedroom with King bed: sleeps 2. Master bedroom overlooks the beautiful private behind our cabin. *Great Room, 2 large leather sofas next to gorgeous new custom Limestone high output fireplace with Walnut mantle. This is visible from the kitchen and dining areas. *Main Level Kitchen (new appliances) shares a vaulted exposed wood beam ceiling with the dining and living rooms, that is open to the upper level & mezzanine. *Dining area, bench style seating with chairs at table heads. Seats 8-10.*Bar area, seats 4 on full-grain leather barstools. Bar is adjacent to the dining area. *Full bathroom with tub / shower. Once at the cabin, you can walk or bike over over to Molly Green's Pub or grab a burger at the Milly Chalet at Brighton Ski Resort. There are plenty of things to do when your legs are worn out! Brighton Ski Resort and the Solitude Nordic Center are a short walk across the base of the Brighton “loop” road; 3-5 min walk from our front door. You won't find a better experience, better hosts & a better location for your group! Brighton Ski Resort:Solitude Ski Resort:Silver Lake Nordic Center: IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: Absolutely NO DOGS ALLOWED. Not only is it illegal to have dogs in Big Cottonwood Canyon due to watershed and forest service regulations but the owners of this property have a serious pet allergy that prohibits animals of any kind. If staff or neighbors report the presence of dogs/ animals of any kind, the guests will have to be ask to vacate and pay for additional sanitizing. We apologize for such strict precautions. Events, weddings, large gatherings, or accommodating more than the designated number of people a booked property is advertised to sleep is not permissible at any time during your stay. 12 persons max occupancy. We do charge additional fee per guest over 8 people so please be accurate with your guest count. Failure to add accurate guest count to your booking may result in you being asked to vacate property without refund. There are cameras on site, be honest. Due to restrictive ordinances and the desires of owners to preserve the peace and tranquility of neighbors and our community, these "events" are not permitted, ever, as they can be disruptive and are additional wear and tear on the property and grounds. This incredible log cabin is nestled among the huge pine trees of Brighton, Utah. It is surrounded by by the beautiful Wasatch mountains, which make skiing and snowboarding in the winter extremely amazing. Brighton Ski Resort is 10 minutes walking distance, and Solitude Ski Resort is only a 5 minute drive. The snow up here is the greatest snow on earth! The Nordic Center is a 5 minute walk, and offers snow covered trails for cross country skiing or snow shoeing in winter, or hiking in the summer. Silver Lake is located here at the Nordic center, and offers amazing hiking trails, and great fishing in the Summer and Fall. Trout abound in this beautiful mountain lake, and is only a 5 minute walk. The cabin itself is secluded, and off the main road. It is totally remodeled recently with no expenses spared. All is new inside and out with the exception of the two story fireplace, and the full log walls. This beautiful cabin is full of charm. There is nothing more cozy than sitting in front of the fireplace on a frosty winter day.Just a fun fact....The cabin was featured in the #1 rated Hallmark Christmas/holiday movie of all time. It's called "Christmas Under Wraps", starring Candace Cameron Bure'.
